If I was a GM I'd have a rule that you never trade good defenseman because they are just impossible to replace, but that's just me. Nice! I think hockey itself is really taking off as a sport all over. So much more popular now. I see this at the rink with more skaters all the time, the expanding number of teams and so many young and diverse players

I'm actually optimistic about next season. They need to add more to the bottom six and add more scoring to the defense but I'm hopeful something will happen. Side point: We got to the finals in 1999 mostly because of Hasek. No one did anything really to make the improvement for us to be a better team out of a strategy, long range planning, good drafting or trades, it was almost entirely an accident. We picked up an aging player that no one really wanted and he turned into the best player in the world. Not sure what that has to do with this thread, but I just wanted to say it
