  1. Bottom six scoring for Bruins, something that almost never happened for Sabres
  2. Will Borgen got in eight games after signing out of St. Cloud State. Sexton thought Borgen did what many do with their first taste of professional hockey, “Saw a fairly typical adjustment from college to pro. Typically the details are what separate the great players from the ordinary ones. “Will is a tremendous skater, he’s a big, strong physical puck moving D-man, so as a result in college, he didn’t have the focus on the details that he needed to, particularly in the D-zone, so we saw great growth in that area.” So where might he fit in the future? Sexton said, “He projects in the long-term to be one of those hard to play against, physical guys, so it was a good, positive first step for Will.” Borgen likely won’t play in Game 1. ------ Won't play??? Wth
  3. Personally, after watching the good teams in the playoffs, I'd bet it takes later rather than sooner to turn this ship around. Next season will also be rough
  4. Krug was not even drafted, they got him out of college as an undrafted free agent. I hope JBott is more like this is scouting and signing players.
  5. Bostons defense is so much better than our defense that they might as well be playing in different leagues
  6. Too old! By the time this team is ready to compete he will be on injured reserve every other week.
  7. He would have turned to evil and hunted down and killed the Jedi Golden Knight...
  8. Washington game is fun. Oh no, a stupid review
  9. Yes, I thought about that also
  10. I didn't. I just looked back at it and thought what a joke he was. He totally failed, IMO
  11. It's pretty hard to actually finish last. What are the odds of it happening after spending time and resources to get better?
  12. I guess I missed the discussion. I hope that does not make me a criminal or something And you also said at one point it was too early to judge his picks. Too early, too late, blah blah
  13. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it! And if you don't like the topic just don't click on it
  14. Wasn't Bill Hajt that kind of #2 guy? I remember from like 1981 where he was hurt and they couldn't win until he came back
  15. Instant gratification hockey. I see Myers was hurt again last night, though. McNabb just has me still scratching my head. If I was a GM I'd have a rule that you never trade good defenseman because they are just impossible to replace, but that's just me. Is Chad Rueedal on the list, or did he just walk away with free agency?
  16. I have to give him a D. The only thing that keeps it out of the F zone is Samson and Jack, though we only have them because we sucked so bad. We are still dead last place. His trades did not work out. Was he responsible for trading Brayden McNabb?? He hit on no second or third round surprises of note. Where is our Pasternak? Lehner
  17. Anyone know the average age difference between these two teams? Id say the Bruins are on average five years older than the Leafs
  18. Tyler Myers with a big goal. I really liked him as a Sabre
  19. Nice! I think hockey itself is really taking off as a sport all over. So much more popular now. I see this at the rink with more skaters all the time, the expanding number of teams and so many young and diverse players
  20. I'm actually optimistic about next season. They need to add more to the bottom six and add more scoring to the defense but I'm hopeful something will happen. Side point: We got to the finals in 1999 mostly because of Hasek. No one did anything really to make the improvement for us to be a better team out of a strategy, long range planning, good drafting or trades, it was almost entirely an accident. We picked up an aging player that no one really wanted and he turned into the best player in the world. Not sure what that has to do with this thread, but I just wanted to say it
