  1. I'm enjoying Arya's chapters much less in the fourth book (which I'm in the middle of right now). There's one or two Arya chapters in the second book that are among my favorites. Both Catelyn and Sansa needed so much more to do. I understand that the setting needs emotional grounding, but giving 2 characters the role of "feels very sad and their life is sad" and nothing else is just terrible. That said, I thought Sansa's actress did a good job in this episode.
  2. If we're trying to win, then no no no no no thank you. Totally agree on D'agostini. Perfect vet to to have around.
  3. Darcy already cost us 6-7 spots in last years draft by waiting and waiting and waiting to move the remaining members of the core, so any more that he could've gotten for our rentals this year wouldn't have even come close to bridging the gap. He also probably would've waited until deadline day to deal Ott, which would've lowered the return because it was a buyer's market for forwards.
  4. I'm relieved that he's been productive in his first few games this year. I caught one of the Amerks' playoff games last year and he was invisible. That was at the end of something like an 80-90 game season in 3 different leagues for Grigo, though.
  5. Prince Oberyn was cool, like really cool. I wish TV shows would stop introducing characters with sex scenes, though. If knowing a character's sexual preferences actually tells us anything about them, go for it. Otherwise, think of something else. House of Cards has done this, too. Arya and the Hound bro-ing out was really sweet. Couple a bad ass mofos. Sansa is much nicer to Tyrion in the show than she ever was in the books (more an observation of season 3 episodes 8-10 than this episode). The direction they've been going with Shae since the end of season 2 is absolutely brutal. She's easily my least favorite character. And what else can you say about the Joff?
  6. I wouldn't mind if they gave Hackett another shot. He was good in the AHL last year. But if Makarov is ready for the AHL full-time next year I wouldn't mint letting Matt go.
  7. I hate the guys that aren't very good skaters, but still try to play aggressively. They just end up slashing everyone and skating directly at the puck carrier only to clumsily hammer somebody (usually not the puck carrier) in a no-checking league.
  8. I laughed and laughed. My brother has it in his room signed by all five guys. And ink, I still love the guy, but Weber's been incredibad the past couple of years. I'm not sure I agree with Taro that he's even a #6. I'm definitely in no hurry to get rid of Mike Weber before McBain and Ruhwedel though.
  9. Glad the Amerks are finally winning some games. And good for Makarov. Man I really like our goalie prospects.
  10. Me too. And the guy that got them MacKinnon is behind our bench as the assistant coach. Sacco was the true tank commander all along.
  11. Disagree. He was one of our better defenders tonight.
  12. I watched her play a couple more pieces and read some of what she had to say about the music. Man, she's bright. Thanks for linking it.
  13. I'm not surprised she can play that well blind. It really does become second nature to find the note you're reaching for the longer you play. It's the learning in the first place that's so impressive. :)
  14. All it took was for Chara to be leaning the wrong way and BAM gone.
  15. That is true. Him and Risto were a bright spot.
  16. Not sure I see the value for Edmonton, but as others said, they suck.
  17. Darcy couldn't even tank right. "I'll just sell off our best players 2 a year instead of all at once so in 3 years we'll be finishing our slow decent to get a top pick."
  18. Not with all this dysentery.
  19. Ehrhoff's been dogging it since the deadline, but I don't really hold him personally responsible. The team's tanking, players are going to check out.
  20. fourded
  21. What a game by Millsie.
  22. The Devils go to 0-11 in the SO on the year, losing this time to Ville Leino and Nathan Lieuwen He's got the reflexes and the size, and plenty of time to work on his positioning and rebound control. I have hopes for the maester.
  23. Rasmus looks good, Ruhwedal looks like McBain, and this game is boring.
  24. I can attest to this. I still remember Andreas, who drove my high school music tour around Oesterreich and Deustchland. He made great use of the autobahn, and would drink with us when we were sneaking around.
