Hahaha that's awesome. My girlfriend is a quiet gal, always has been. I knew her when we were in early grade school (she was a grade above me) because her dad was dating my mom. Never thought much of her because I was loud and annoying and she didn't say much. Weber was so bad because he was playing top 4 minutes. Weber is not a top 4 defenseman, and was paired with Jaime McBoner half the time. Playing defense more than you should and against more difficult competition with weaker partners is going to make any player look terrible. Especially when you consider how freakin' hard of a position it is to play in the first place. Weber was put in that bad spot by Darcy's decision making and his comments were pointed at Darcy.

I am the youngest of four. I'm 20, my sister's 24, and my brothers are 27 and 30. Brother of 27 years is having a baby with his girlfriend. They were high school sweethearts, then broke up summer before their senior year. Like six years later she and he hooked up again and just fell right back into their relationship. Sabres don't need lots of prospects, they need high end prospects. Trading a near sure thing for potentially getting some 2nd and 3rd liners would set the franchise back another year.

Well hopefully Zadorov, Risto, Pysyk, and McCabe can grow into character guys who are also studs. Because they were taught so well by Mike Weber. :P But I hear you. It'd be better to have a Brooks Orpik type around.

While our young D corp grows Weber will be pushed back into his natural 5-7 role. He is the perfect character guy to have around Zadorov, Pysyk, McCabe, and Risto. Maybe in two years he will have been passed by all of our youngins but he still could find a role as the 7 or in Roch.

Either we're winning it, or Calgary's winning it. That's my "prediction."

I am ~80% less certain about the Blues' first rounder this year than I was when the trade went down.

There's a pretty jarring part near the end where Tim Murray says (paraphrased): How do you tank? I don't think I'd be good at it because the players want to win and the coach wants to win and it's hard. The only way I could think of doing it is signing a bunch of 4th line guys to fill in your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines because as soon as you sign a guy they want to win. So is he supposed to acknowledge his lack of talent in his comment? He's a hockey player. He wants to win. Every time he got scored on it hurt him 50x more than it hurt you. He's just as frustrated with the terrible hockey and losing as a lot of fans. I know you and I are distanced enough to be able to see it abstractly and wish for the tank but what freeman preaches is true, losing begets losing.
