  1. I'm in the mindset that it's a no lose scenario, except for the Islanders win the lottery and steal Reinhart from us. So I want them to stay in the 4-5 slot because I don't think there's too big a difference between pick 3 and 5 but the difference in lottery odds is enough to make me nervous. We already have 2 blue chippers on the blue line who are big. We need high end offensive talent and we've needed it so bad for so long.
  2. And Ennis is small but plays big so call it a wash on size.
  3. I don't like James Neal. He's a doosh. But he's also a decent hockey player. But mainly a ###### douche.
  4. That sound like something I might be good at. I'm a percussionist turned bassist so who knows. I'm not the strongest bower but I've never tried to play col legno.
  5. It's an interesting question of which small guy you'd rather have in your top six. It'd take 4 special guys to contend for a cup with Ennis and Hodgson. At this point I agree with you that I'd rather have Ennis.
  6. Nope. They're just coming down hard on the string with the bow. It's not slapping per se, but I didn't know what else to call it. This makes sense.
  7. Noooooo then we'll be too soft.
  8. I almost responded with a youtube video, too. I guess I'm too millennial :(
  9. It's a giant wiener.
  10. I would love to have Hodgson as a 2nd line winger/spare center. Hopefully that's where he fits in a couple of years.
  11. Those guys' bow hands must be like
  12. I love Hank. It's so mortifying that he endured so much because of Walt, but still died in the end. Betsy Brandt and Dean Norris really did a great job playing the supporting couple. I wasn't actually offended, it's fun to look at predictions from when the story was incomplete (just like that time I predicted Drew Stafford was going to score 35 goals). I really liked the way Walt and Jesse's arcs complimented one another, too. Walt slowly become a more emotional person as he realized his potential and Jesse got a pretty good (albeit twisted and evil) education from Walt while finally growing up.
  13. This is awesome. That bow slapping is just... *shudder*
  14. I'm not sure there are many 21 year olds that don't have holes in their game. Skinner might raise his game in the playoffs, who knows. He'll never be a physical presence, which is a definite detriment in playoff hockey, but players have overcome that in the past (see: Briere, Daniel and Leino, Ville). I would take Skinner over any 2 Sabres forwards/F prospects in a heartbeat.
  15. Did you just cite crotch grabs as the shift of focus of the show and then try to correct the record to my call being bad in the same post? Jesse became much more empathetic, since the show was about Walt becoming the bad guy, but Jesse was certainly not the main character at the end. I was actually pretty disappointed with the amount of screen time he got in the final 8 episodes.
  16. I really liked Miller's white mask.
  17. There's appreciating. I enjoy watching the Bruins, the Penguins, the Avs, and the Blues and I appreciate the level of hockey they put on the ice. But, I don't go out of my way to defend their honor on a team specific message board... That's just different.
  18. Zack attack with 4 primary assists. He's like the next Wayne Gretzky (to quote our beloved Harry Neale)!
  19. You love washing the not-sabres' balls, I know. And a 3rd pairing defenseman doesn't excite me, I don't know about you.
  20. Yeah definitely luck. They drafted freakin' Mark Stuart before Bergeron. Don't let deluca hear me rip on his favorite team, though.
  21. Nah, it'd get too busy. Skaters should look uniform. Goalies are weird elephant people so nobody cares.
  22. Bruins also drafted Bergeron in the second in 2003. Seems relevant when you talk about 2nd round and beyond success and the Bruins have one of the best 2nd round home runs in the game right now.
  23. That, and Lieuwen's first W are two good things to root for tonight. I don't ever remember watching Sunday night games before, and now this is the third Sunday night in a row. I kinda like 'em. Pretty great quotes from the coaches in this article. Torts when asked about why rookie Jensen gained his trust so quickly while Zack has been in the doghouse: “(Jensen’s) awareness is above where I’d thought it would be,” Tortorella said. “Him and Zack are two different players. I don’t want to compare them because I’d have to be critical of one, and that’s just not fair." Nolan on Hodgson and his role on our roster: “You realize certain players are gifted in certain areas,” Nolan said of Hodgson. “Cody is one of those guys, that if you get him within 10, or five feet of that net and they’re going to go in. “But we have to find some people who can ... You’re only as good as your surroundings.”
  24. House of Saved by the Cards?
