I would like to add that there are a few bright spots this season. Borgen, Ullmark, Cozens. The much improved play of McCabe and Risto. Hopefully Mitts will be officially added to this category. I think Dahlin has improved a lot and with Borgen we really started to see him break out. The PP and PPK have been decent. The PP is the league's best. It was always going to be a tough year playing in this division. Next year Hutton is gone. Could we see a Ullmark and UPL tandem? either way the goaltending wil be improved. There will be a lot of eye-rolling on this statement but I forecast a top 10 team next year Definite playoff team in their actual division...and yes i know we are all tired of next year.

100% AGREE. If this team is serious about winning this season then Hutton can not spend another minute in the line-up. He needs to be relegated to the Taxi squad or out right released. The worst part is that this is something thats not new to them. He was the worst goalie in the league last season and they came back with him. Why sign Hall to 1 year deal and come back with Hutton? it makes no sense. For all the good Adams may have done this off-season, it totally negated by him not improving the goalie tandem.

You have to blame Adams. No way Hutton should still be on this team you force Ullmark into playing how many 4 or 5 games in 7 nights. It’s going to lead him into being worn out or injured If Linus misses any time - turn out the lights on this season. Play the youngsters and move onto next year

Would the Sabres be better off with only dressing Ullmark and relying on the zamboni driver when he gets hurt ?

Waive Hutton?

Can’t be too upset about this one. Haven’t played in 15 days , missing a bunch of regulars against a rolling islanders team They look spent this 3rd period. Not going to hold much hope for tomorrow either. Especially with Hutton in net hopefully by thursday, they should be ready to at least compete with the Capitals.

Any know why the Sabres are back, with 7 regulars still out with covid, while the Devils get more time ??

brutal, just brutal I can now fully understand and appreciate how the Sabres may not have been fully committed, if not distracted this past weekend you’d think with Buffalo being a prime US tv market for hockey , the NHL would stop screwing them over ???

Groundhog Day. get a goalie!! Trade your 1st rounder if that what it takes. lazar may not be the best center for Skinner but he has a spot on my team any day of the week 1) the Dman turns it over at the blue line 2) the goalie let’s in a softie.

I knew , you knew , everyone knew the goaltending wasn’t good enough They simply can’t overcome avg to below avg goaltending. Very few teams can all the good moves he made are wiped out because he came back with the worst duo in the league.

definitely need to subtract some salary to bring in Dubois. 1st rounder is worth a lot though, so I doubt you need to add Cozens. Is Mitts at the level of Kotanmeni? If i was the Sabres, Id get him in the lineup to boost his worth. Should add, the deal definitely needs to include one of their goalies

What does it take to get Dubois and Merzlikins out of Columbus? I'll start with next years #1 and Mittlestadt...plus???

Hutton .815 sv percentage. Who could have seen that coming ? Going absolutely no where until the goalie tandem is improved. Lucky it’s only a short season

i like that line too. though i would use it as a 3rd line and would never start them on a defensive face-off. Obviously not used as a checking line Girgs, Eakins, Okposo., Lazar and Reider can fight for spots on 4th / defensive line. If Mitts still isn't ready for the NHL, then I like Lazar between Tage and Cozens. I really like Lazar and think he is good enough defensively and has potential to produce offensively this season.

I have Rossi ahead of Quinn in my own personal rankings, but this is a mock draft and I do think that NHL franchises are going to put more value into what Quinn brings to the table. Elite goal scorers who play both ends of the ice do not grow on trees. Quinn is the type of player that the Jets seem to love and if the team does decide to move on from Patrik Laine, he could fill his shoes. Just look at what Mark Stone did for Vegas in the playoffs. Quinn has the potential to be that sort of impact two-way forward.

I agree. Definitely off the list of possibilities for the sabres. Rossi and, I know you all hate this But Askarov are the picks for me right now
