  1. Groundhog Day. get a goalie!! Trade your 1st rounder if that what it takes. lazar may not be the best center for Skinner but he has a spot on my team any day of the week 1) the Dman turns it over at the blue line 2) the goalie let’s in a softie.
  2. I knew , you knew , everyone knew the goaltending wasn’t good enough They simply can’t overcome avg to below avg goaltending. Very few teams can all the good moves he made are wiped out because he came back with the worst duo in the league.
  3. definitely need to subtract some salary to bring in Dubois. 1st rounder is worth a lot though, so I doubt you need to add Cozens. Is Mitts at the level of Kotanmeni? If i was the Sabres, Id get him in the lineup to boost his worth. Should add, the deal definitely needs to include one of their goalies
  4. What does it take to get Dubois and Merzlikins out of Columbus? I'll start with next years #1 and Mittlestadt...plus???
  5. Hutton .815 sv percentage. Who could have seen that coming ? Going absolutely no where until the goalie tandem is improved. Lucky it’s only a short season
  6. Smart? are you sure about that. He's the guy that said the Sabres should sign both Erod and Sheary to long term deals.
  7. i like that line too. though i would use it as a 3rd line and would never start them on a defensive face-off. Obviously not used as a checking line Girgs, Eakins, Okposo., Lazar and Reider can fight for spots on 4th / defensive line. If Mitts still isn't ready for the NHL, then I like Lazar between Tage and Cozens. I really like Lazar and think he is good enough defensively and has potential to produce offensively this season.
  8. Here is Brock Otten's Write up from his mock draft (best guy covering the OHL by far) Quinn ahead of Rossi? Are you insane? I have Rossi ahead of Quinn in my own personal rankings, but this is a mock draft and I do think that NHL franchises are going to put more value into what Quinn brings to the table. Elite goal scorers who play both ends of the ice do not grow on trees. Quinn is the type of player that the Jets seem to love and if the team does decide to move on from Patrik Laine, he could fill his shoes. Just look at what Mark Stone did for Vegas in the playoffs. Quinn has the potential to be that sort of impact two-way forward.
  9. Wrong. Every single write up has him as a exceptional 2 way player
  10. Reminding a lot of the keyboard warriors freaking out when the Bills to Josh Allen over Josh Rosen let it play itself out. I’d rather Rossi as well but Quinn can score and is a complete player Guess we will find out in 2 or 3 years
  11. Askarov or Rossi. At least one will be on the board
  12. Is that the guy who said that sheery just had bad puck luck, thought Rodriquez deserved a long term deal and called Josh Allen a clown??
  13. I agree. Definitely off the list of possibilities for the sabres. Rossi and, I know you all hate this But Askarov are the picks for me right now
  14. thats why you roll the dice and draft the best goalie prospect since Price.
  15. Behind Askarov, he is firmly my number 2 of the players who have a chance to still be there at 8
  16. I don’t know I’d agree on Lundell. Though, I’m just going on what I’ve read not seen with my own eyes
  17. Askarov with another huge game in the KHL 29-30 in a 2-1 win 2020 prospect Yaroslav Askarov stops 29/30. He has a .974 SV% in 3 KHL appearances this season. take him at 8. Has as good,if not better, chance to work out than anyone else you can take at that spot
  18. Lucas Raymond with the PP snipe to open up the SHL season. the way he is playing you can just about cross him off the possibles at 8 list along with the big 3
  19. 2 scenarios that would be excellent for the Sabres 1) Askarov, Drysdale and Sanderson all go before they draft. Basically guarantees that 2 of Raymond, Rossi and Holtz will be on the board. Maybe all 3 if Detroit goes for Perfetti 2) Askarov is on the board and they take him I’m leaning heavy on the goalie at this moment. But won’t be at all disappointed with any of the above e mention every Is anyone else on board with the Askarov pick?
  20. Talking about being 1 to 3 years away from being NHL players- Askarov with a shutout today in the KHL. If we’ve learnt anything about drafting 8th it’s that these players are hit or miss at this spot anyway so mark me down as wanting Askarov with the 8th overall pick swing for the fences with the top goalie prospect since Price.
  21. I don’t think Lundell will be on the board at 8 a team is going to fall in love with him He has an advantage in that he has chance to impress in Liiga, while other prospects sit at home He has already started his year off well, plus has an A on his sweater on a men’s team If LA takes Byfield, I can see Ottawa going Stutzle and Lundell.
  22. This is a very good plan. Even if it means trading. Top 10 protected 2021 1sr rounder
  23. Having some guys play prior to the draft will be fascinating to see how that affects their draft status. Guys like Perfetti and Rossi may fall to the "out of site, out of mind" phenomenon and fall down teams boards. Especially if Lundell, Raymond, Amirov and Holtz impress. I guess I could add Askarov in that category. the more I read and watch im really leaning towards adding a sniper like Holtz. You can never have enough goal scorers. I've read people thinking his shot is as good as Cole Caulfields from a standing position but he has a much better shot off the rush.
  24. if you tank you have to be patient. Murray wasn't and traded away too many picks. Who knows where they'd be if they had stayed the course. couldn't be much worse.
  25. thats why you either make a real run to the playoffs or come last...drafting 8th sucks! Lucky this draft has a bonafide top 10.
