I think they have a good 4th line. It’s just the 3rd line that’s the issue you really just need one more quality Dman when everyone is healthy and yes a goalie would be good but I think if you have 6 quality dmen the goaltending would be much jimproved

The Bills - Bengals game looms large. hopefully KC trips up in one of their final games. Unlikely as that is will definitely suck if the Bills go 13-4 and still don’t have the #1 seed

You really think there is a goalie available at the moment? Besides, bringing in another quality D is much more imperative. Last night they had Clague, Fitz and Bryson playing in the same game. It’s just not a recipe for success. Once they get 6 NHL level dmen playing, the goaltender issues will be solved organically

This is as close to “must win” as you can get in December. terrible night for the Sabres. Rangers, Islanders , Penguins all pick up 2 points, while they only get 1

Love the idea of Horvat but think it’s highly unlikely. Sabres and locked in with Thompson and Cozens as centers 1 & 2. I can’t see them spending the money on a 3C that it would take to get Horvat I don’t see them spending big money on anyone until Cozens , Dahlin and Power are locked in long term. May even add JJ and Quinn to this list

I never thought of it while the game was on but I do agree with Marek to a point. however, I can imagine the blowback on DG if Tage got hurt in the 3rd So I see both sides Elliotte Friedman brought a good point that the Sabres didn’t have a PP after the 1st So it’s not like they sat Thompson in that situation

Bryson has been back for 2 games the last 5 even strength goals scored against the Sabres either Bryson or Pilut have been on the ice for all of them This has to be resolved The Sabres will be lucky to be in the playoff race by Jan 1st if another Dman isn’t brought in immediately for those that think that It’s more the goaltending than the d Bryson is a Minus 15 - all 3 Sabres goalies have struggled with him on the ice Not to mention the Sabres have given up 60 even strength goals Not sure where to find this but I’m thinking that Bryson has been on the ice for at least 20 of them For a guy that missed games, plays limited minutes and gets to olay against opponents bottom lines (especially at home) this needs to be addressed

I know everyone is clamouring to fix the goalies BUT if the same 2 or 3 dmen are on the ice for most every single 5v5 goal against… maybe you start there? im just guessing here but I’ll say Pilut, Bryson and Fitz have been on the ice for at least 15 of the last 20 even strength goals against maybe later today I’ll go back and get the actual numbers .. get Lyubushkin back and add a good 6th Dman , you may actually improve the goalies organically

Yes, im not saying he should be playing on the Sabres. Im just saying that you don’t discard him. He is fine in Rochester
