I'm seeing the Yotes singed Galchenyuk to a PTO and the Red Wings singed Bobby Ryan to a PTO - would hope the sabres sign one of these washed up centers to be sacrificed as our #1 center so our young kids don't have their morale kicked in their skull each night (while giving the over the hill guys one more shot for glory). Also, the Yotes Kachina jersey is the greatest jersey of all time.

How is anything revolving around the Tokarski/Houser tandem considered interesting?

I'm hoping they defy all the odds and are a mediocre team that maybe has meaningful games in late February into March. I expect the roster to perform the way it looks on paper. I look forward to buying cheap-ass tickets on the secondary market now that I live in Buffalo again.

Kicking off a training camp thread, mostly b/c I have a question: Does anybody know when training camp kicks off? It's been a long off-season and I feel like it should be starting in a few weeks.

If I had to choose a coach from our recent carousel of Rolston, Nolan, Bylsma, Housely and Krueger I'd probably take....Bylsma? Actually no, I'd take Nolan. What a string of misses. Here's hoping our next first time head coach pans out, or can at least put up .500 win %.

Wouldn't it make more sense to give Powers 9 of those 11 games after that so we don't waste a year of his ELC?

There isn't a single reason he should play on the team before his Sophomore season is over.
