Hackett Starting. "Hackett, acquired from Minnesota in the Jason Pominville trade at last year’s deadline, is 13-17-2 in 33 games with the Rochester Americans this season, with a 3.07 GAA and .898 save%" Should be a real doozie of a game. Just how will anybody be able to get through this day and wait until that 9 p.m. puck drop? The anticipation is killing me.

With our current on-ice roster right now I think we could field maybe one line of players who actually belong in the NHL. Just how much worse can we get?

I like Nolan, I really do and I hope he's behind our bench for at least 2 more years. That being said, I really have to question his coaching ability when I see him putting Leino on the power play.

Unfortunately, we can't set the date in our calender and throw a giant rager the day Leino is scheduled to not be a Sabre anymore because the compliance buy out period begins 48 hours after the cup finals end. I really wish they would simply scratch him every night for the rest of the season or better yet, send him down to Rochester. I'm not sure if that would effect the cap floor though.

That forward line-up is scary bad. The nine of them total for 66 goals, 80 assists and 146 points on the year in a combined 506 games. Compare that to league leading scored, Sidney Crosby who has 29 goals, 54 assists & 83 points. One player has over half the production of our entire forward line-up. It'll be interesting to see if they can compete with the injuries and the new goalie. Go Sabres.

It's a shame the shutout was spoiled on a shortie. I'm really impressed with Enroth's play since the olympic break. Question is, can he keep it up? Go Sabres. That was a fun game to watch.

My biggest fear for next season is how we're ever going to manage to hit the cap floor if we dump both of these guys. I'm all for using Uncle Terry's money to over-pay free agents to come play here. Specifically Ott.

I can't believe they're playing like this with the roster we have. What's with the strong play recently? Is it Nolan? Imagine how the Sabres would look with a proven NHL roster. Hope he's still around in a few years.

Another NBCSN game? I feel like we have an inordinate amount of these nationally televised games for being the worst team in the league. My gamecenter subscription is certainly not paying for itself this year and I've noticed I sometimes get better streams from the pirate stations. At least I have St. Louis to watch now. Kinda wanna see 4 wins in a row and a Teddy over Lindy type deal but I'm also concerned with our customary late season surge. Go Sabres?
