  1. I love how ennis plays. Both goals have been all him.
  2. Ottawa will have a feed. The only other preseason game that will not have a stream is Minnesota because they apparently don't have their shlit together.
  3. Yes, so streams will be available
  4. Really? I just heard the Ottawa announcer say we gave up 40 shots, didn't see our total.
  5. This feels like the Sabres of last season. But it's the preseason and none of this really matters
  6. This is getting real ugly real quick. The defense is abysmal
  7. Man, Ennis is buzzing everywhere. Easily the best player out there today.
  8. Lehner looking calm and collected on that breakaway.
  9. Sabres are playing very sloppy behind their own net. They've had at least 3 giveaways around Lehner so far.
  10. Anything less than 6 points a night for that line will be unacceptable.../s In all seriousness, at least for tonight I'm hoping to see some dominance by the Sabres. As much chemistry our team is lacking this Ottawa squad we're facing hasn't played together as one unit either and will be looking for their own chemistry as well.
  11. Here's a look at Ottawa's roster: http://senators.nhl.com/v2/ext/PDFs/Sept23_Roster@Buffalo.pdf Only 6 players played for Ottawa last year. With these guys going up against 2 of our top 3 lines and our supposed #1 goalie this better be an unbalanced game in the Sabres favor.
  12. I'm surprised I don't see more people pulling for Andrew WK. The songs not the greatest (none of them are) but more people should take after Andrew WK. http://www.villagevoice.com/music/ask-andrew-wk-my-boyfriend-listens-to-evil-music-6646591 Party Hard.
  13. Catenacci also skating. D-men: Colaiacovo, Donovan, Gorges, Guhle, Leduc, Ruhwedel. Lehner & Makarov in goal. #OTTvsBUF
  14. Didn't hear the segment but I'd be curious to hear what exactly that policy includes. The past two days Hockeystreams have had streams for 12 different games which means at least 6 teams each day have either televised or streamed their games in some fashion. Looks like I'll be watching an Ottawa feed tonight as it's on the HS schedule. I'm really excited to see Kane - O'Reilly - Ennis skate together, it's been so long to see what a real scoring line looks like. All eyes are going to be on Reinhardt tonight as well. I hope he has just as big of a game that Jack did on Monday. Go Sabres.
  15. "If a guy needs to be punched in the face a few times to teach him a lesson, we'll I'm all for it." - wise words from Andrew Peters
  16. Each team is getting three madatory 3v3 it sessions this preseason, it's to allow them time to get acclimated to the new format.
  17. I'd like to see Eichel finish this for a 2nd time in 3v3
  18. Jack Eichel baby!
  19. Tonight I'll be interested to see how the following plays out: -How does Eichel fare against better opponents while playing with better linemates. Looks like he'll be playing against Parise, Granlund and Pominville so it'll be nice to see him going up against strong opponents. -How is Larsson looking? He's gotta stand out if he wants a solid spot on this team -D pairings, will be interesting to see the Guhle-Psysk , McCabe-Fransen combo and most importantly 3 v 3 OT - regardless of the score at the end of the 3rd period the teams will be playing an extra 3 v 3 period to get accustomed to the new format. Whose Blysma going to throw out there? Eichel - Girgensons - Psysk? Moulson - Larrson - Weber? This would all be great to watch live but unless any of you live in Minnesota we're S.O.L. At least we'll be blessed with a 2 minute video recap tomorrow /s
  20. It's frustrating as a fan hungry for any kind of content so deal with the lack of coverage. Maybe they have a agreement with MSG for not airing pre-season games (but why??) but not streaming the Prospects Tournament, or only piping in the jumbotron stream for the Rookie Scrimmage at the last minute in July? It's pathetic. You're telling me they couldn't sync up the WGR Broadcast with the jumbtotron stream for the prospects tournament? It's 2015, setting up a live stream isn't that complicated, especially when you're a part of the four major sports in America. Content will continue to shift from broadcast television to streaming over the internet. I remember reading a few articles a year or so ago about Ted Black addressing the possibility of Pegula Sports and Entertainment starting up their own broadcasting station akin to Empire sports, which would be a horrible venture but why not shift those broadcasts to stream on the internet? You'd increase your coverage from the WNY region to fans spread out across the country/globe, etc. I could go on and on about this. At the end of the day it'd be nice to have our organization be on the cutting edge of this transition by providing streaming content for the fans. If the team is on the ice then we should be able to see it and not have to research a hundred different ways to see if there's a chance to watch the team. At this point it looks like the only games that people won't be able to stream are the Minnesota games. I'm placing the blame on Minnesota for that one since they should be streaming their home games. As LGR said, it's mind boggling all the games aren't available.
  21. I subscribe to hockeystreams and looking at their future schedule I see 4 of the games are currently scheduled: Sept. 23 - Buffalo vs. Ottawa - 7 p.m. - First Niagara Center Sept. 25 - Buffalo at Toronto - 7:30 p.m. - Air Canada Centre Sept. 26 - Buffalo at Ottawa - 7 p.m. - Canadian Tire Centre Sept. 29 - Buffalo vs. Toronto - 7 p.m. - First Niagara Center Again, I think failure to stream the pre-season games is another embarrassment for the way the organization that claims to be "Hockey Heaven" is run.
  22. Here's a vine of the first goal 25 seconds into the game of Eichel setting up Baptiste: https://vine.co/v/eFrJ6gj5XX7
  23. The prospect "tournament" is less than a week away, then training camp boots up a few days after that and the pre-season opener is less than two weeks from today. We'll have plenty of Sabres related news rolling in soon and that season opener will be here in no time. Like having a cup of coffee, really.
  24. Reinhardt, Moulson & a 2nd Round pick so we can wear Chicago's dirty laundry? No thanks. I think #OneBuffalo has taken on enough "high-risk" players this past year. Reinhardt & Eichel will be the face of this franchise for a long time, the Toews/Kane combo for the Sabres (minus the allleged sexual assault hopefully). The only way I'd even consider considering that trade would be if Chicago retained 80% of Kane's salary/cap hit. Plus how can Murray trade Moulson when he's letting Eichel nest with him?
  25. I like the deal. At this point I haven't seen anything from Murray which makes me question his judgement. The man has a plan this whole time and has been following it just as he said he will. One aspect of the trade to consider compared to the other goalies that were floating around at the time was the term of the contract. Doesn't Lehner become an RFA when his initial contract runs up? If he performs the way Murray hopes he will or is at least trending upwards we'll be able to sign him on long term if all goes well. Here's a link to all the 21st picks going back 30+ years: http://www.mynhldraft.com/nhl-draft-picks/21st-overall/210509/ I'd rather take a dice-roll on a starting goalie who can produce NOW rather than wait 2-4 years for the 21st pick to develop (and I'd much rather have a starting goalie than any of the names listed above). I'm tired of waiting on this team through this re-building process and I'm glad the moves Murray is making is helping accelerate the process. You can't win big if you don't take some risks.
