    Why is it even a question why they're bumping this game? Step out of your Sabres bubble and think about it. The Sabres and Oilers are terrible, terrrible teams. Nobody outside of these small-market cities give a damn about the teams since they've been IRRELEVANT for the past decade. Instead, the nation gets to watch one of the historically best team led by one of the greatest goal scorer of all time vs. a team surging up the standings led by another generational player whose been on fire since a slow start to the season. People can watch their McDavid highlights on youtube and the Sabres fans will still get to watch Eichel streak into the zone and force a pass. Fair note: I'm bitter I stayed up to 1:30 am to watch the Sabres get shutout last night.

    Based off of my skewed misunderstanding of statistics, we're due for a lottery win this draft*. 3rd time's a charm, right? If I'm Murray I'm not moving that pick until I know whether or not it will be Austin Matthews. IF we win the lottery, I wouldn't mind Murray dealing for that pick if it brings in an elite player who can perform now and into the foreseeable future. Or just draft Matthews. I don't think it's be a savvy hockey move to deal the pick before the lottery order is established because only then will you be able to judge it's true value. *my advanced knowledge of statistics also lets me know that Buffalo will never, ever win the lottery because that's just how it is for us.

    Serious question: Is there a place anyone knows where I can view the highlights of the game? Since NHL.tv launched they've done away with post game highlights and they don't have every goal loaded. It's very frustrating.

    This is amazing. I know the Jackets put out gameday posters for each game. Love their shot at the buffaslug and that seems surprisingly accurate for how that came about.

    When that happens, those players are usually given some form of pain meds, right? I just can't imagine wearing a mouthguard and then skating in an NHL environment, especially the way Marcus plays (or we want him to play) giving and taking hits. I guess I was just hoping Bailey would get a call halfway through his drive to Rochester saying "turn around!"

    I guess Marcus is tougher than I will ever be. If I were to have several teeth removed in a similarly violent fashion I promise you I'd wouldn't move from my bed for several days.

    listening to hockey hotline...they just said Foligno took a stick to the face at practice just now and headed to the locker room. Reports are saying they were picking teeth up off the ice afterwards. That sounds so, incredibly painful. Wonder if he'll play tonight. I can't imagine getting drilled into the boards after getting my face bashed in.

    With a victory the Sabres could hit 54 points tonight in game 57 on the year...the total point output of 82 games last season. For those of you who can't recall that far back, 54 points was not enough to make the playoffs.

It seems like many more than 5 years have passed since that team. Nathan Gerbe had 16 goals with us that year as well... Was that Stafford's contract year and also the last he was relevant (to the Sabres, at least?)

    I do not think Moulson will score today. I do think Jack will and I hope he builds a reputation as Senator killer. I think Bailey might score. I do like that we've got an Arms Race of forwards closing in on 20 goals. Who gets there first? Eichel, Reinhardt, O'Reilly, Kane or Other? My guess is Reinhardt and it's a nice thought to have 4 potential 20 goal scorers this year.

    The worst thing is Hockey Streams is dead. I let my account lapse in december and was upset I was having problems signing up for another year but they got shutdown a few weeks later...so I guess I dodged a bullet there. That reddit link was a great read, I refuse to pay for a service that will not broadcast the playoffs to me (not to mention the blackouts). I don't own a TV so it's internet streaming for me.

    The Moulson family and Jack gather round the table for dinner. Mrs. Moulson scoops out some mashed potatoes and plops a healthy serving to the children before serving herself and then hands them to Matt. "Hey, Matt." Jack says, "Pass those over this way when you're done." Matt lifts the bowl with one hand, his feeble wrist buckling under the pressure from the weight of the spud-bowl, and there is a loud crash as the bowl breaks upon impact with the floor leaving a sad, lumpy mess. Matt bows his head and starts crying quietly. "Daddy-" the child is cut off by a swift hush from Mrs. Moulson. "You know you don't speak to your father when he's having one of his episodes and don't you dare make eye contact with him tonight." "Well, I'm sure the food was delicious, Mrs. M, but I'm going to excuse myself and go do something with my life." Jack said and then stood up, did a spin-o-rama and walked out of the room. End scene.

    Would Moulson be having a not-so-much-of-a-disaster season if Eichel wasn't living with him? Is Jack Eichel sucking the life force out of Matt Moulson?
