    From an off-season interview I recall Murray saying if we were contending for a playoff spot he wasn't going to trade assets for a veteran to push us over the edge to get there. He's planning long term and won't be giving up future stock for players in the twilight of their career.

    I can't find the video but there was a presser with Bylsma from right around the start of the season where a reported asked him if there was a possibility we'd ever see D-LO brought in to play defense if they needed him to and the coach's reaction was an emphatic "no". I'm not convinced that he'll be back before Kane...last update we have from DB is “He’s doing well, on progression, building a foundation. There is a date when you will see him. Eventually, you will see it come to fruition.” which, to me, sounds vague. "There is a date when you will see him" could mean anything. edit: my stance on him not being back before Kane is MOSTLY sarcasm.

    After 15 games Eichel is leading the team with 56 shots. Second place goes to Risto who has 41.

    I blame Ted Black for requesting all these nonsensical matinee games. In my world this schedule mess is somehow related, perhaps those in charge making the schedule have the line of thought "Oh, you want to play at 3 o'clock on a Monday of a holiday that shouldn't be recognized? You want to play at 1 p.m. for every saturday game this year? If you want ridiculous times you can also have ridiculous blocks of teams..." or something, something.

    Eeesh. This season is starting to feel like Groundhog Day. Sabres keep waking up to play the same team each day. This is a must win game for me, we need to show this team we're not a doormat and won't be swept/go down without a fight vs. Tampa. Additionally, a win will give them a boost a confidence, any they'll need all the help they can get this month since the schedule is brutal this month.

    Id like to see DB switch rhinehardte and DLO between the 1st and 30th lines. I also strongly dislike the 3rd line, move Moulson with eichel and replace him with larsson

    My thoughts on the game: mike Weber the refs for not calling blatant penalties whoever made the schedule to give us Tampa 4 times the lightning I like the over the glass call. It's to prevent hemmed in defences from getting a whistle by circumventing icing the puck.
