  1. I do not think Moulson will score today. I do think Jack will and I hope he builds a reputation as Senator killer. I think Bailey might score. I do like that we've got an Arms Race of forwards closing in on 20 goals. Who gets there first? Eichel, Reinhardt, O'Reilly, Kane or Other? My guess is Reinhardt and it's a nice thought to have 4 potential 20 goal scorers this year.
  2. You smell like a LIAR!
  3. The worst thing is Hockey Streams is dead. I let my account lapse in december and was upset I was having problems signing up for another year but they got shutdown a few weeks later...so I guess I dodged a bullet there. That reddit link was a great read, I refuse to pay for a service that will not broadcast the playoffs to me (not to mention the blackouts). I don't own a TV so it's internet streaming for me.
  4. I, uh...can't internet :( https://twitter.com/davegisaac/status/698162430799671296
  5. Not even a hearing for the Gudas hit: https://twitter.com/SabresOptimist/status/697976961621069824 This league is a joke.
  6. I feel that Murray could sub in for mean old man Potter seamlessly.
  7. The Moulson family and Jack gather round the table for dinner. Mrs. Moulson scoops out some mashed potatoes and plops a healthy serving to the children before serving herself and then hands them to Matt. "Hey, Matt." Jack says, "Pass those over this way when you're done." Matt lifts the bowl with one hand, his feeble wrist buckling under the pressure from the weight of the spud-bowl, and there is a loud crash as the bowl breaks upon impact with the floor leaving a sad, lumpy mess. Matt bows his head and starts crying quietly. "Daddy-" the child is cut off by a swift hush from Mrs. Moulson. "You know you don't speak to your father when he's having one of his episodes and don't you dare make eye contact with him tonight." "Well, I'm sure the food was delicious, Mrs. M, but I'm going to excuse myself and go do something with my life." Jack said and then stood up, did a spin-o-rama and walked out of the room. End scene.
  8. Would Moulson be having a not-so-much-of-a-disaster season if Eichel wasn't living with him? Is Jack Eichel sucking the life force out of Matt Moulson?
  9. Reading this thread has got me like: Looking forward to seeing how Bailey skates with the big boys.
  10. Haven't seen it mentioned here (and am wondering if it has it's own thread) but the Leafs sent Princess Phaneuf to the Sens yesterday in a 9-player deal which is essentially freeing up cap-space to sign Stamkos in FA. http://www.tsn.ca/maple-leafs-deal-d-phaneuf-to-senators-in-nine-player-trade-1.435458
  11. Jagr (G: 738, A: 1,101, P:1,839) is 4 goals away from overtaking Brett Hull as the #3 goal scorer of all time. He's also 12 points shy of overtaking Gordie Howe (P: 1850) as #3 in total points in the history of the NHL. Guy is a freaking legend. He has a shot of breaking those records by the end of this season and IF he comes back for another season, he'll be threatening to overtake Mark Messier (P: 1887) as second in all time Points.
  12. So....a line of Gionta - Eichel - Coco?
  13. Did you bring in an outside bottle of Franks with you or was this a to-go order? If the former, I like your style.
  14. Pardon my ignorance, but what does JAG stand for? I've seen that term thrown around here and while I understand the context I'm lost to the direct meaning. My thoughts on McGinn are trade him at the deadline and then try to re-sign him in the offseason. He's making 3 mil this year and is playing well in his contract year. He's also 28 and coming off back surgery. I wouldn't sign him for more than 2 years at a max of 4 mil. If we can't re-sign him, I wouldn't mind. He's not an integral piece moving forward.
  15. That was a good effort by Ray to move the hot dog down acrost his face out of the frame.
  16. I was also just looking at the standings and am amazed that 7 of the 9 teams composing the "basement" of the NHL are all Canadian (Buf and Columbus being the other two).
  17. The new site is abyssal. I understand there's a learning curve with new designs but this is beyond bad. It took me several minutes to figure out who assisted on the goals of the scores I was looking for. It's amazing how much they up this release in the middle of the season. I don't understand the rush to release it like that. Why not make sure it's properly built AND tested and then release over the off-season?
  18. This is baloney. Jack Eichel is an elite talent. You're saying the coach wants to shield him from pressure, in a season that's a wash at this point? Jack Eichel should have been the first player off the bench. At home, vs. Boston? Are you shitting me?
  19. I don't have anything to add that's already been said here with the exception of the following: TBJ, I hope you tipped Shelby well tonight.
  20. Anyone not named mezaros and leino were too good for Murray last year
  21. Thanks for the info. I think I started lurking here around 2008 or 2009. Looks like the actual games back then were discussed in a separate chat? Anyways, anyone looking for a sad trip down memory lane can look here. Last game of the 2006 season which was june 1st. Man what I'd give to watch the Sabres play into June: http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/4345-game-discussion-612006/ I think there was a "chat" where the games were discussed. Not sure of the reasoning behind it but from a historical perspective it's stupid. Maybe to prevent clutter in the thread but that seems counter intuitive to having a thread for discussion? Anyways, once Eichel leads the team to the playoffs next year this place is going to be rocking.
  22. I tried to look through the archives for an old playoff game thread and I managed to find timeframe of when we played Philly and the Umberger hit happened but I didn't see any actual Game Day Threads (this was april 20ish 2006, maybe they didn't have a naming convention we have now?). Anyways, I found this thread from april 2006 hinting that RJ was contemplating retirement. I for one am so happy we've had him a decade on-wards and counting: http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/3063-rj-to-retire/
  23. Love this Gionta gif (found on the habs forum):
