  1. All deals in the NHL are made in USD.
  2. Okposo to buffalo, 7 years / 6 mil. Like the aav not too stoked on 7 years but that's what it takes to land the big fish. We just got better. Now let's go ink Vesey and trade Ennis/Kane to ANA for Fowler.
  3. I'm guessing it'll be 6-7 at 6.5. Won't believe it until the ink is on the paper but it's nice to know we can now get attractive free agents here. He'll be a good addition to Eichel's wing.
  4. Would Vanek have made them that much better? It's all hindsight at this point. I'm sure there's a parallel universe in which Darcy let him go, took the compensation and won a Stanley Cup by now....and not related to hockey but in this same universe they'd have In-N-Out's on the East Coast and I'd be banging models.
  5. What kind of compensation would we have gotten from Edmonton if we didn't match their offer sheet for Vanek?
  6. I like the idea in theory but I'd be afraid of a offer sheet retribution in the future when we need to sign eichel and reinhart... Anyways, now that Stamkos is gone we have a load of cap space to work with so I hope gmtm makes a splash with something.
  7. I dunno, it would certainly hand-cuff Tampa with the cap if they match the offer. What's Hedman's contract status? Is he an RFA? I'd rather offer-sheet him.
  8. No, Hall for Larsson has got to be one of the WORST trades in NHL history. At least Montreal is getting Shea Weber back.
  9. Also, are we sure the stamkos signing isn't a sign & trade?
  10. I'm completely fine with this decision. Would have loved him in the Blue & Gold but I was really dreading news saying he'd become a Maple Leaf.
  11. He should give Kucherov an offer sheet.
  12. Yeah, my bust. I edited that...just so much information in so little time.
  13. Ummm...I'm not sure what exactly is going on but it appears Edmonton traded Hall to NJ Devils for D-man, Adam Larsson, NASHVILLE traded SHea Weber to Montreal for PK Subban and Stamkos is staying in Tampa....all per www.reddit.com/r/hockey Not sure it it all belongs here but the moves do affect the Free Agent Market.
  14. Damn, I'll actually be in downtown Buffalo that day, but acting as a best man for a wedding. Perhaps I'll unknowingly stumble into one of yous later that evening. GO SABRES
  15. Whoever designed this schedule display (taken from the sabres website) should be dragged out back and shot. Can any of you tell the the home/away games based upon the shades of gray?
  16. Is that good or a bad?
  17. On WGR they're saying reports are coming out the Buffalo is going "all in" on Stamkos and speculation is they're offering him $12 million per year.

  19. This pleases me. If all goes to plan that's one less top-6 forward we need to worry about protecting in the expansion draft as he'll be on an ELC.
  20. Love that landscape shot. Great composition.
  21. I did a quick pass of this through lightroom: I also found this photo hanging around in my folder, which seems relevant for this site:
  22. Do you have the RAW file of this? I'd love to play around with this in lightroom to show you how much you can enhance the photos.
  23. Been a member of the BBG for 3 years now...it was just a nuisance for me to get to when I lived in Bushwick (would ride my bike but my GF hated that ride...or spend what seemed like an hour each way with the train/bus). Love going there with my Macro...looking at some of the color patterns in the petals almost give me flashbacks...to more experimental times in my life. Cheers
  24. I'm also getting into birding a little bit, mostly for the photography. I recently moved close to Prospect Park in Brooklyn so I've been going out with my camera after work, it's a really nice way to unwind. Unfortunately, my longest lens is only 230mm so it's not the ideal gear. My instagram page is here: https://www.instagram.com/mustacheofgod/, I don't post as much as I should but I'm trying. I'm trying to work on my composition, rule of thirds, golden ration, fibonacci curve, color theory...it's a lot to think about but practice makes perfect they say.
  25. I can't figure out how to imbed images in this thing so I'll post links. I actually have two photos on display tonight at a charity art auction (never have had photos printed or shared before so I'm a little nervous). Here's one that's being shown: https://www.flickr.com/photos/131734086@N05/24229024153/in/album-72157663673575339/ My flickr account has a bunch of photos from trips to Chile & Tanzania I took within the past 18ish months. I love going out with a camera and taking pictures, especially when traveling. I shoot with a Fuji X-T1 and have a couple different fuji lenses which I enjoy. Do you all shoot in RAW? With the level of control you have in post processing I can't imagine myself not doing so. One of my favorite aspects of photography is making adjustments in lightroom to get the photo just how I'd seen it in real life.
