The Buffalo Sabres are running like a god damned fine tuned hockey franchile-mobile. Tim Murray, fantastic guy, he's doing a fabulous job, a fab-u-lous job. I can honestly say he's the greatest GM ever.

I'm not sure how I feel about tonight. They're going up against a tank tonight, an easy two points, right? The game is on a Thursday, this team can't win on Thursdays. We won last game, previous win/loss patterns dictate we will lose this game. If the team has any chance of making the playoffs these games vs. the avalanche and coyotes are MUST wins so I'd expect the team to come out with urgency, right? I see two scenarios: A. The team plays well and has an easy victory against the worst team in the league and keep pace in the wildcard hunt B. The Sabres come out flat and get embarrassed on National television, prompting management to fire DDB and sparking the team to an unlikely win-streak to close the season, get into the playoffs and bring a cup home to Buffalo. Win-win, really. Go Sabres!

I don't like him as a person (this judgement only coming from the interviews I've listened to which isn't much but all I have to go on) and I think his coaching style is an extension of his persona: tame, boring, defensive, and just has a loser mentality to it.

I simply don't like DDB as a person. He's so boring to listen to in any interviews and it seems like it's always an excuse with him. "This team is so good at this so we have to limit there chances" , "this team does this so we can't do this". He comes off as a loser and I hate it. Recently when we lost to Tampa he was saying something about how you can't get pucks deep on them, Bishop controls the puck or something....A. Tampa is one of the worst teams in the league, I don't buy that at all, and B. if you know that, stop dumping it in and change your system! (sorry derrico). DDB is lifeless, I want a coach who shows a modicum of emotion. Bylsma is an excuse machine and I think that seeps into the players mentality.

I think we found Russ Brandon's account. The fans wouldn't be booing if they had an entertaining team to watch this decade. We've been force-fed a sandwhich product so long it's starting to come back out the mouth.

According to my fantasy tracker 9 of those points have come in the last 32 games and his ice time is dipping below 10 minutes now. Which is fair, he's playing how'd I expect any rookie would play.

I think anyone would be amiss if they were expecting a significant splash from Murray at the deadline. I do think anyone in our bottom six forwards and defencemen not named Risto or McCabe will be in play. I personally think once March 1st comes to an end Franson and Gio will be gone, maybe one other forward and the return will be way less than what I'd imagine (which is fair, because as a fan I overvalue our players).

If they keep playing .500 hockey they'll end up at 82 points. I hope nobody seriously argues that a 1 point improvement is actual progress.

A+. We tanked for Eichel, not Hot Daniel. Find a coach who utilizes the player(s) we suffered for. End of story.

A win tonight puts us 3 points back of a playoff spot. We won yesterday and since this team is wildly inconsistent I'm expecting them to absolutely the bed tonight. Aside from that, I hope they shake that bug and come out strong. Disappointed you wont' see Miller in net tonight? Don't be! After the Sabres go up 4-0 midway through the 2nd he'll go in as relief and we'll all get a glimpse of the wtf miller wave in the 3rd. Go SABRES.
