Blackhawks are ready to go.. can't imagine what else they can want to trade at this point.

Their flag is red white and blue now. The Russians haven't had red flags for awhile now. :P

Today is a great day so far... tonight is shaping up for a celebration... so I should be inebriated and watching the game.. or something. Go Sabres! Personally I can't wait until tomorrow when they start at 11pm.

Like Grigorenko?

You were doing so well up to that point. It seems too personal now to take it seriously. Although I do agree with you.. about his abilities. I don't care about his face. :)

Typical suite food. Chicken fingers, mac and cheese, etc. it wasn't amazing but it's always better tasting when it didn't cost you anything.

Nice to hear. Things like this are why I don't like when people get down on a player. His ability may not have been in the top of the NHL but his head and his heart were always in the right place. Murray earns a lot of player respect by working a trade for a guy who is respected in the locker room and sending him to a great location.

In the realm of overreaction to risks and events.. They banned the public from the beach after this happened. http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/27/us/florida-plane-crash-lands-on-beach/ No, not really.

It was pretty awesome. Just for him to have the opportunity being the huge hockey lover he is.

Yep. We all know what the prospectus is on Torres. He's due another suspension, right... about.... Besides Marlies are top in the league.. Toronto doesn't want that coming in. This was worse than any trade the Sabres made last year. A clear dump of space, people, everything.

Why leave the stands? First, I've heard complaints the crowd isn't loud enough, wouldn't a crying child help that? Secondly, perhaps they don't expect everyone else to adjust their behavior. But you then go on to tell them how to adjust their behavior by telling them to leave the stands. So, by your logic. Crying baby means the parent should leave the stands. Drunk guy swearing his butt off should stay. Just want to be clear on who is in more control of their actions here and what behavior you want excused from the stands and what behavior you deem okay. It could be. They probably should be using earplugs... but then again most of us should be. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/07/sports/basketball/stoking-fans-excitement-arenas-pump-up-the-volume.html?_r=0 A season ticket holder could be doing more hearing damage than taking a kid to a single game. It's not really a kid thing so much as it is a hearing protection issue. Certainly kids ears are impacted more but again.. earplugs negate the impact. The key here is to have a few children and see what in your life you are willing to give up because of it. You won't know until you have your own children. Believe me.

It's a good point. Along the same lines they mentioned Gotisbehere who is from Florida. He was born in 93. The Panthers debuted around when he was born. They made their cup run a few years afterward. I am sure that sparked a growth in hockey interest in his market as well. I mean.. he's not as heralded as Gotisbehere but the Flyers rookie is lighting it up right now..

Yep. Hop Stoopid had a lot of haters because some purists called it cheating. I called it one of the best bargain you could (and still can) find. It's a great beer. Hop oils are becoming more common. I think there is still a stigma attached with some pro brewers but those will fade. It's amazing how consistent brewers are with hop pellets these days. Knowing the AA's on each crop really helps them lock it in and the professional systems are built for consistency. Still, I would venture a guess that even marginally the oils would produce a more consistent result.

The big kid in the puck drop photo is mine. What an awesome time. The Amerks looked really tired (3rd game in 3 days) but they pulled out the win. Carrier looked really good out there.

Ryan O'Reilly lower-body injury; could be out "several weeks"

He was Giloolied? Dang. -
Using hop oil is an experiment in the extreme. It's not a bad thing by any means but it's easy to really send things awry. You got them right. A lot of brewers will use some kind of flavor extract to get the notes they are looking for rather than actually using the ingredient. It's a noticeable different. I feel like Dirty Little Freak does down that path. I've never had Sweet Baby Jesus but I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter chocolate beers overall. Freak is decent, but one a night or splitting one is about all I want.

Good stuff! There is no downside to what you've done. Regardless of the level of play being on a fresh sheet of ice or out on a pond is the definition of heaven (for me). Games and practices and the noise of actual hockey is nice but to only hear the sound of skates cutting the ice.... oh man.

Well, the bright side is that he is going to get some much needed rest! -
When Jagr entered the league I really disliked him.... I respected his talent but I didn't like him. Now I wish he never left the NHL and I have to root for him all the time. He's simply amazing and one of the best of all time.

WAtch the game then head down to see the AMerks play and then head back and play my SUnday night game. It's all hockey all day for me. I love it. Go Sabres!

After this past weekend in Pittsburgh I was able to grab some beers not in the WNY area. Always been a fan of Deschutes... Black Butte Porter is amazing. Brought home their Fresh Squeezed IPA... BAM.. that's a seriously good beer. Dirty Little Freak from Duclaw is interesting. I'm not sold on DuClaw though. A little too much flash without the amazing quality to back it up. Not horrible beers but nothing spectacular.

Google Image Search "Robin Lehner" Just look at that face. He has a stare that can cut through mountains. Great game. Here's my overly expert opinion. "It's just fun to watch now."
