You realize you're answering your own made up conspiracy right here, right? What happened in that period he played that explains why he isn't playing far more than mundane comments? -
Why panic? The are almost exactly the team most of the board thought.

Remember when Tyler Myers became a dominant physical? Neither does anyone else.
-
Idk, let's say he develops another 15%, how good would that make him.

Thompson played about 160 games b4 his breakout season. Power is already at 250+ games. He's never in college or the NHL used his body. He's not skinny and he's plenty strong. You can't train away the issues Power has.
-
Owen Power is a decent #3 defender who can run your #1 pp and can play 20 mins a night without hurting you much. He's solid defensively but bad along the walls. His passing is very good. He's never going to be a guy who uses his body to leverage positions or move players. He's never going to be aggressive enough at the blueline. Power is a good player, he's not gonna be an elite player.
-
No he won't.

Please note it's November. This stuff isn't fixed but fluid.

I spent some time yesterday looking at McKenna. I'm beyond concerned by his 2way game. This board already loses its mind when a guy does a weak fly-bye on the backcheck or along walls and holy bleep is that McKenna. Offensively, dynamic, skilled, amazing. Defensive, lacks scanning, doesn't get position on checks, his board game fails unless he can get the puck on his stick with room. If Buffalo were say, Colorado or Carolina, I'd take McKenna but Stenberg, Belchetz, and Lawrence really feel like guys who will be better rounded in the NHL. But who's better Ovechkin or Tkachuk?

Byram vs Power - Who are you keeping long-term?

Owen Power will never be dominant. -
Timmins being ***** when they had Jacob Bernard-Docker is hilarious to me.

I'm not even mad, just bored by the same thing I've seen 30 times before.

Not only that they have 3 guys with the same last name of Pettersson. Elias the forward Pettersson, Elias the defender Pettersson, and Marcus the defender Pettersson. -
Someone check on Edmonton, they need a wellness check.
-
Ryan Rucinski, idk much about him but he's doing stuff in the ushl.

It seems fairly obvious at this stage that Jarmo is the Gm in waiting. -
You talking about Suvanto and Hemming? I haven't watched Hemming but have seen a little of Suvanto and I could see him slide in that 15-20 range due to his position and skills. I agree, I think the Swedes have a better class for the 1st round with Stenberg and Bjorck leading the way.

Where does this number come from? And he isn't losing money, the value of the team is far outpacing the cash lost. If you spend 10 bucks on a something but it costs you 3 bucks to maintain each year, and 10 years from now it is worth 100 bucks. You didn't lose 30 dollars you gained 60 overall.

For those wanting an explanation, you are looking at standard deviations away from the league mean. Doan is just behind JJP in gf/60 but is actually creating far better in xGF/60. This is probably happening because Peterka is a better shooter and does a lot of damage off the rush. Whereas Doan is more of a cycle player and the Sabres like to take shots off that this year. Doan's defensive metrics speak for themselves. He's almost 3 standard deviations away from the league average in CF which again makes sense because he is cycling the puck and they are getting shots.
