  1. This is called anchoring. Look it up.
  2. You're actually proving my point. When Kesselring played up the lineup you yourself showed he played better.
  3. Not that I'm aware of. Georgia's qb did a car dealer nil and drove a Lamborghini around. CCM or whatever would seem similar.
  4. Ryan McLeod would have finished tied for 4th on Florida last year in points and goals. He would have been 4th in points on Edmonton and goals as well. McLeod can play on the 2nd line if needed and probably with Buffalo running Kulich out there, McLeod will see 2nd line level TOI as he gets some tougher or longer 5v5 shifts and also PK shifts that Kulich will be sheltered from. He's about as close to being a 2nd line player as he can get and could have been one on 2 teams that went to the cup finals. The real question is will he maintain or exceed his play last year. He was a rare bright spot.
  5. Cole is a lhd and has over 900 games. Pretty straight forward why he played more.
  6. Except if you know what was going on in Utah you know that isn't what happened. You know who came back into the lineup at game 57, Sean Durzi, was out from game 4-57. Do you know who came back into their lineup at game 43 after missing 1-43? John Marino. They didn't lose confidence in Kesselring, they plugged back in the top 2 RHD they were paying to play those roles. I bet his +/- went down after he went from playing with good defense partners and the teams top 2 scoring lines to playing with plugs.
  7. Do not agree. I think Kesselring playing an extra 5 shifts a game won't be much of a problem considering he did it at various times in Utah.
  8. Luke Osburn is someone to keep an eye on. Richard too.
  9. He needs Nick Lindstrom to coach him
  10. only nitpick is that Wahlberg is not a center.
  11. Until he stops playing passive defense, he could train himself up to be a mack truck and it wouldn't matter.
  12. Panarin is all gas no breaks. He is running at 75%+ O-ZONE starts and certainly capitalizes on that. His defense... is more questionable but if you are trading for him it is to juice up your offense. You could slide all the LWs down which would be good but you probably have to move out a wing to do this. Maybe Quinn and Byram gets it done but I am not sure we get a ton better that way. We would have a playmaker for a year and maybe you can get him to re-sign. It would certainly change the look of the top line with Panarin - Norris or Kulich - Thompson Benson - Norris or Kulich - Tuch Zucker - McLeod - Doan Greenway - Krebs - Malestyn
  13. Like the sandwich place? Is this about Artemi Panarin?
  14. Reports say NIL money and Penn State has a big ole pot of that. I think that 700k is specifically just his NIL money deal with Penn State but hard to say as there isn't anything super concrete. Here's a good article on NIL in hockey https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6481261/2025/07/09/gavin-mckenna-ncaa-penn-state-nil-chl/
  15. So Steve Yzerman... 2019: 17-49-5 (39 points), 8th in Atlantic, 31st in goals for, 31st goals against, Larkin was the leading scorer with 53pts 2020: 19-27-10 (48 points), 7th in the Atlantic, 30th in goals for, 20th in goals against, Hronek was the leading scorer with 26pts 2021: 32-40-10 (74 points), 6th in the Atlantic, 25th in goals for, 31st in goals against, Larkin was the leading scorer with 69pts 2022: 35-37-10 (80 points), 7th in the Atlantic, 24th in goals for, 22nd in goals against, Larkin was the leading scorer with 79pts 2023: 41-32-9 (91 points), 5th in the Atlantic, 9th in goals for, 24th in goals against, Raymond was the leading scorer with 72pts 2024: 39-35-8 (86 points), 6th in the Atlantic, 22nd in goals for, 21st in goals against, Raymond was the leading scorer with 80pts It's taken a bit but the goals for and against numbers show a roughly steady improvement. I think Detroit's biggest issue is the lack depth scoring and outside of Seider, their defense is questionable. We will see what Edvinsson can do. Yzerman should have a far better defense but he's made some weird trades in Hronek and Walman. With Hronek at least he got something in Pelikka but the Walman trade is just bizarre to me. Anyways, this was fun to look at Detroit and see where they are so thanks Perrault, They actually are slightly better than I thought but also... goaltending and defense are not great looking.
  16. BS. It all comes down to Buffalo not winning. Toronto, Edmonton, NYC all have higher taxes and are just as cold if not colder and they get players. Ottawa, Montreal get players. Taxes and Palm Trees is the biggest load of horseshit that Adams has ever tried to sell. Adams can't get players to come here because he is a failed GM, an awful salesmen, and a constantly has a loser tone about "trying to be better"
  17. I don't. Unsure what the bold means. As for Rochester, most of the NCAA hockey players are not getting 700k to play in the NCAA, they might get 50k plus their tuition. Further, not everyone will go the NCAA route and lots of jr players and Euro players will be around. On top of all of that, the non top NCAA guys will still need AHL time and they will still be motivated to leave college to get paid. McKenna is getting 700k, sure but he's not going to stay in college or ever play in the AHL anyways.
  18. @PerreaultForever you think Yzerman is going great in Detroit?
  19. Yzerman isn't exactly doing great in Detroit so... But no, I don't think Lyon alone gets us to the playoffs. Upl will start too many games.
  20. If power played defense like mrtka, I'd like him more.
  21. What grade would you give Trump?
  22. He literally didn't draft a goalie every year, I just covered that.
