Nah, I'll worry about that later. Make the trade and if he won't sign you're moving an RFA in a year. Be bold now though and get this team winning.

Dallas needs to shed cap. I'd be working this trade all combine week. This is one of the best wingers in the league and would improve the entire team.

This team needs more prospects like that. Forechecking is a skill and those guys win championships. Bear has less manipulation than Benson but a better shot.

Matthew Fairburn Latest Article regarding Terry Pegula and Adams
LGR4GM replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Worth the listen/watch about 25 min in the get to the article -
Has us take O'Brien. He's a 6'2" center known for his playmaking who took off the 2nd half of the year. He doesn't play heavy though which would be my only question but he can, as in if to watch enough there's a bit if underlying jam. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6393069/2025/06/03/nhl-mock-draft-2025-pronman/

Probably because this thread is about a 100pt winger and not a rhd. You can do more than 1 thing and Buffalo will have to. You trade for Robertson based on a Peterka trade and you trade for a rhd with something else.
-
Martin Necas may be available as well. Colorado wants to sign him but with only 1yr left on his deal, he might be trying to get to UFA.
-
There's no reason to do that imo. Benson becomes your 2nd lw. It's nice an easy.

To be a child again would be quite a delight. Endless summer. 0 responsibility. Can eat anything you want.

You two are annoying. After 2020 and Peterka not included, there's been a marked improvement in Sabres drafting. Ideally you need about 2.4ish players per draft. While I think the Sabres have left value on the table in round 2, Kulich, Benson, Peterka are excellent values. The later picks are still uncertain. Novikov probably has an nhl future depending on skating. One of the rhd will make it. I like ziemer a bunch and Wahlberg has potential. The Sabres aren't the best drafting team but under Adams I'd say they went from below average to just a smidgen above. Their 2023 and 2024 drafts are imo quite interesting.

You trade Peterka and 9 for Robertson, you already have the capital. You trade Byram for Schneider, Krieder and some other thing. Easy peasy.

Dallas has no 1st until 2027 and no 2nd until 2026.

I'm not interested in waiting 5yrs for Bear or Martin when I can have Robertson. Robertson for Peterka, Martin, and Östlund wouldn't even give me pause. None I can see. https://puckpedia.com/team/dallas-stars

It isn't rushed. You're confusing "this guy isn't ready but screw it! nhl now" with "this guy is ready and so is this other guy, too the nhl then" Rush versus Volume The Sabres aren't rushing players. Kulich wasn't rushed. Quinn, Peterka, Power, Benson were not rushed. Is it too many young guys? Maybe yea but those guys weren't rushed to the NHL.
-
I don't think Peterka, 9, and Östlund is too much. Adding Byrum is.
-
I'd trade Peterka and #9 and Östlund for him tomorrow without a 2nd thought. I'd throw in Byram too if needed.
-
Yea and Paul Hamilton was on there today lamenting how Buffalo rushes all their prospects to the NHL... like Power who went back to college or Kulich who spent 2yrs in the AHL just like Peterka and Quinn. They love stating ideas as facts. Usually the morning show is a bit better. Note: I understand it's talk radio so I get it's all this.
