I see 6 top six forwards (Kane, McEichel, Moulson, Ennis, Girgensons, and Reinhart) a solid top 4 D (Bogosian, Gorges, Zadarov, and Risto) Then I see a large enough prospect pool to fill out depth. Everything else is just roster filler like McCormick and Weber. Dime a dozen guys who can be easily replaced and don't really affect our chances of winning. We do need a goalie, and depending on the development of Risto and Zad, we might need another top 4 D. I think we're much better off than we were in October of 2012 when the downward spiral began.

I know the FCC is independent, and as such, not really an arm of the Obama Administration, but I'm tired of this. It's his first shot at UFA. I think he's gonna see what it's all about. That said, if it's gonna be an easy sell, no reason the extension can't get inked tomorrow. If he won't sign tomorrow, it's not an easy sell.

He has absolutely no incentive to sign before 7/1. We're not going to offer him 8 years, which is the only advantage of having him on the roster for the next 5 months.

Have Gretzky and the NHL resolved their differences? My understanding was that the great one was keeping a great distance after the his contract was left unpaid by the NHL.
