The NFL doesn't care about the buffalo local market. They care about the National Market that their TV partners get to sell ad space on.
-
this is exactly how national rankings work.
-
My theory is that the bills fans will become fans of their local team whether here or in they're migratory homes. LA and Toronto are so big they could lose 100% of the buffalo eye-balls, get 10% of the new city eyeballs, and still come out ahead.
-
I have no idea who that is. Am I failing at life?
-
The NFL doesn't get any value out of Buffalo that they wouldn't get out of any other mid-size city in North America. and Far less value than they'd get out of a huge city like LA or Toronto. The NFL values TV eye-balls. And they'll lose very few moving the team out of buffalo, we'll just watch the steelers, jets, or giants, and they could potentially could gain millions.

I'm pretty sure the wall keeps the Mainahs out as well.

DC, Kansas City, and Salt Lake City have all won the MLS Cup recently too.

You're thinking of the Circus. Very similar atmosphere.

Sabres to induct Hasek into the Sabres Hall of Fame on March 29th

I think you're looking at this incorrectly: League Scoring 1992-2001 2.97gpg. League Scoring Last 5 years: 2.77 gpg. But that's not even why I'd want Hasek, presumably if everyone is scoring more, so would your team. Why I'd want hasek is how much better he was than all the other goalies. Looking at his heyday (1993-1999) Hasek lead the league in sv% every year. His average over that time was .930. The average of the second place starting goalie (keep in mind that this was 5 different guys over that time) was 0.922. In other words hasek was about 12-14 goals better than the next best guy you could have put in net every year. The average 5th place finisher was 0.916, so Hasek was more than 20 goals a season better than all but 4 other guys in the league. And you knew Hasek was going to be #1, you had no idea who the next 4 were going to be year to year. Looking at the last 5 years, average #1 sv% was 0.935 (4 different guys) average #2 was .931, average #5 was 0.926. The best guys are putting up as good or better numbers than Hasek, but the field has totally caught up. League average save percentage 1993-1994: 0.902 League average sv% for the last 5 seasons: 0.913 Even the average guys have gotten better. Hasek was a huge difference maker. Most years, the difference between him and the next best guy (in terms of goals) was as big or bigger than the typical difference between Gretzky and the Next best guy. Certainly bigger than the difference between any of the Euros you mention, and the next best guy at their position. -

Today's game, I might take a forward. The game of the 80s and 90s? I'm taking Dom every time. -
They can't buy him out if he's hurt, right? There is a HUGE risk in continuing to play him.

There is some Indiana Law that gives the State System a monopoly on Med Schools. There is some IU program that is housed on a building next to campus, but it's not an ND Program.
-
There is no Medical School at Notre Dame.
-
I will be at Pearl St. with my brother and parents prior to the game.

39 should have a giant fan behind it. So it's constantly flopping around. -
Does anyone know how the NJ situation affects this years lottery odds?
-
Yes, that first part clears it up. The damages are preset.
-
How are the damages calculated? I imagine 5 years of the bills presence in Erie County has upwards of $500M of economic impact. Or is it just the potential lost tax revenue. In other words would it be damages to the Erie County Government, or damages to the People of Erie County?

Haters gon' hate.

what if "that guy" is actually marketed for the purpose of breeding?
