You see! We're like EXACTLY the same person. clones.

Dammit! My Matrix was on the list and I never signed up. :censored:

Hilary, I agree with, a Truman Democrat after my own heart on Foreign Policy, McCain probably, maybe, but his emotional over-reactions (suspending the campaign, his current jingoistic comments about Russia, selecting Palin in a crazy hail mary) I'd be concerned about the possible outcomes. I look at him as potentially a kind of a Rudy Giuliani-Lite on foreign policy. Sun Tzu could never have imagined our Military Industrial Complex.

Despite our troubles, we really are quite amazing at making and consuming goods and services. We could possibly, economically speaking, fight minor wars in central Asia permanently and still survive.
-
We are in agreement in keystone and LNG terminals. On "resolve" I think there's a chicken and egg situation. Had the country not been so war fatigued, Romney may have had a better chance. Obama didn't break our resolve, 12 years of continuous war did.

it's the "tl" at the end, isn't it? I think that's what he's saying, he ALSO wants the first this year.

what if they end up taking him at 6 or 7 with the isle pick?

We could never have become involved in a hot war in Syria. That ship sailed 11 years ago yesterday. It'll be another decade before we get our shootin' legs back. And the world knows it, and that's not this administrations fault, they just suck at dealing with it's reality. I'm *hoping* that the additional sanctions today will continue to be ramped up every few days until the Russian Oligarchs force Putin to the table. I'm assuming Crimea was gone and has been for some time. It was all just way too easy. I honestly believe that the Olympics were the only thing that delayed it this far. Putin clearly has aspirations to restore the Soviet Bloc. I think the sanctions would have been sharper faster if not for Europe's reluctance to end gas shipments. It sounds weird, but when the weather warms up next month, we'll have more options.

what if, by luck or injuries or whatever, The St. Louis Blues already have? how awesome would that be? I just thought of something, every year under this playoff/draft system, the Eastern Conference is going to get 33% more lottery players than the West (8 east vs 6 west) Will this eventually result in a talent disparity?

I gotta be one of the Democratic Party's biggest supporters on this site, and even I can't believe how badly we botched Syria. The line should never have been made. The United States isn't in the mood for any military conflict, so don't go pretending like we are.

I really think it all comes back to economics. If the Eastern European economy wasn't so very stressed as a result of the financial collapse followed immediately by EU imposed Randian austerity, Russia wouldn't have had the button that triggered the most recent problem. Gotta play the long game on this one, i think. Repeat over and over to Putin (but really to the others with power in Russia) "If you don't leave it will be like it was before...If you don't leave, it will be like it was before...If you don't leave, it will be like it was before..." And then be prepared to slowly but surely isolate Russia from the west, again. They can turn off the gas to Europe, we'll just have to deliver more LNG tankers. Approving the Keystone Pipeline and Marcellus Fracking actually becomes a national security measure, which should move the majority of the moderates over to the pro- side of both of those issues. Russia is in no better position now than they were in 1985 to stand on it's own, detached from the west economically. At the end of the day, there is no usable military solution, and everybody in Europe knows it.

It's all in that Pew Survey. Czech's and Ukraine are better now, poland is flat on the generic question of their opinion about the "United States", but shows a significant improvement on their confidence in the American President. I think you may be underestimating how much most of the world disliked our last president. Most of the things working against Obama are his continuation and/or expansion of Bush policies (Drones, NSA Surveillance, etc.) If McCain or Romney were in office, my suggestion is that these things would be even worse.

Have you read about epidiolex? http://www.gwpharm.com/Epidiolex.aspx

I believe it is incredible unlikely that any potential non-military action could have dissuaded Putin from protecting his Black Sea Fleet. As to my second point: http://www.pewglobal.org/database/indicator/6/country/233/ I try not to make statements that are so factually incorrect as to cause people to stop reading the remainder of my message. When I do I apologize. In this case, I believe my words were hasty, and a rewording would be helpful. Please change the wording to "Perhaps, but the world in general has much more confidence in the American President now than they did on 1/19/09...."

Is he suggesting that there was a way we could change Putin's mind? I don't think Putin changes his mind. ever. Perhaps, but the entire world respects America more than the day before he took office. Internationally, Obama has been on a downward slope since about the beginning of 2010, but even with the slide, we are better off than if McCain or Romney were sitting in the Oval Office. Certainly better of than we were 3/19/2003-1/20/2009.

Thank you. Everyone (therapists, pediatrician, service coordinator, school district) just keeps telling us that the only place to go in the area for an "official" (whatever that means) clinical diagnosis is Kirch. As long as the medical staff are better to work with than the administrative staff, we'll survive. Our insurance will cover it, but we have a "high deductible" plan, so I'd like to know the cost so I can calculate my out-of-pocket, and set that money aside.

On behalf of the humanity, I apologize for what is about to happen.

Just followed Josie's recommendation and donated to GLAAD in memory of Fred. They even let me put in the WBC address so they can send a thank you note. It's 3701 SW 12th St, Topeka, KS 66604 if anyone is interested. My complaint for this week is the Kirch Developmental Services Center at Golisano Children's Hospital. We have been trying for 4 months to get the paperwork and referrals in order to get our son set up for a diagnostic evaluation and official diagnosis. These things are critical for his ongoing services and therapy. We finally (thought we) had everything in order, and our service coordinator gave us a number at Strong to call and do the "Parent Intake". So my wife calls, introduces herself, and says she was told she needs to do the "Parent Intake". The lady on the other end LITERALLY LAUGHS at her, and says, "Your no where near the intake yet". She then explains that there is an entire additional round of paperwork and referrals. My wife then asks if she knew the cost for the evaluation. For some reason at this point the lady completely went off about how they "weren't even going to look at [our son] until they know how they're going to get paid." This entire process (not just strong, the whole dealing with autism as a parent thing) is extremely stressful, especially for a mom. They have to know this, yet there is no compassion what-so-ever. My wife was in tears by the time she hung up. Our pediatrician had warned us, but they (Kirch) are essentially the only game in town. If we had any other option to provide our son with the things he needs to be successful, I'd be marching into Kirch tomorrow to explain to them terrible they are. Alas, I can't give them what's coming if it will hurt our son, so I get to eat my frustration, and fill out more forms.

I don't think there was a phlebotomist . Leggio made it sound like Pegula took the blood himself. He probably didn't even use a sphygmomanometer.

I do find it strange that he says "Pegula gave us this test" rather than "The team gave us..." or "the trainers gave us..."
