  1. Please do tell me. Oh wait, you did. Yup, I don’t believe you.
  2. Just read this. Strong words indeed. Also incredibly unprofessional, short sighted, and immature. I'd be totally OK with Tyler Seguin slotted in as #2 behind Jack. Maybe they'd take Okposo back as part of a package. Since Seguin is ***** and all.
  3. Sure, I wasn't intending the comment to be critical. Might have come across that way. I understand it's part time. As a non-trivial level fund provider of the endeavor I just wish they had either made clear this was a 4+ year journey and/or figured out how to align resources to get it done in, I don't know, maybe two years? I still hope to be at the opening of it in Buffalo one day.
  4. I contributed to the kickstarter campaign for this documentary so I get updates from time to time. Apparently they are planning on going to some festivals soon and release in 2019. I'm a bit skeptical given how long they've been at it (funded in Nov 2015!) but I'd think it will eventually be completed.
  5. "Why thank you, I just had it stuffed." One of my favorite movie lines ever.
  6. My point is no team is ever totally healthy so many teams can say “if only we were healthy we’d be top 10”. It’s a big ‘what if’
  7. Great analysis, thanks for posting. As to this comment...I am pretty sure there are at least 15 teams in the top 10 in the NHL when healthy. Of course a team is rarely 'healthy' for very long over 82 games, hence many teams saying they'd be 10 but for injuries. I don't have any data to back it up but my feel for the Sabres injury level was somewhere about average for the year with a beyond average dose in recent games but relatively good health early.
  8. Oh Captain my Captain
  9. Pilut isn’t going back to the AHL, is he?
  10. Yeah but they don't even know what those are. Today I explained what a fax was to my 19 year old. She heard about it but the whole technology aspect was a mystery. Because apparently the US healthcare system thinks fax's are still the way to go.
  11. On a Kings fans board somewhere: "Peterson should start tomorrow. The Sabres are trash."
  12. When these things first came out several years ago and my father and I both watched some dude blithely stroll by with one in his ear while having a loud and annoying conversation. Very uncharacteristically, he turned to me and calmly said "If you ever see me wearing one of those, kill me." Likewise, I will have the same conversation with my daughters one day.
  13. I once attended a concert (U2) in this arena: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saitama_Super_Arena Flexes from 37k down to 19k depending on configuration and can host football or hockey. U2 played 3 nights at 22.5k I believe. So the concept is proven, but execution at 60k down to 20k would be key. That said, the hockey experience would need to be a primary focus. Although football is the big money sport, when the total number of attendees over the season are considered, more spectator hours are spent on hockey than football. The curtain idea worries me. For that kind of money, it has to be a 50+ year facility.
  14. I'm sold on Pilot.
  15. So long as he can keep consuming human blood, then yes. The lockout should buy him another decade.
  16. Hang tight, hiring related processes can be quite inefficient at times. My suggestion is that on the day it's 3 weeks after you had initially texted the hiring manager, send an email to them simply explaining you are checking in on status (no need to point out how long it's taking them, they already know). (maybe texting is OK too but in my age/culture that's a level of informality reserved for current employees not prospects but maybe that's different in your world).
  17. Agreed. He'll likely drop down from 1.07 goals per game to more a more pedestrian 0.75 goals per game for the next decade or so. ?
  18. I can foresee an AFC East situation here. No one is going to take the division from Toronto for quite some time. Probably in the entirety of Eichel's contract.
