This may be controversial (shocking) but I don't understand seat belt laws. I got a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt which is fine, I deserved it. It was a checkpoint and I didn't even try to put it on. I'll gladly pay the ticket and didn't give the trooper a hard time. I work in medicine and know that it's the smart thing to do, much like a motorcycle helmet. But it's a safety issue for me, not the general public. Speeding, reckless driving, not signaling, etc.... These are public safety issues. Me not strapping in my belt (while not smart) doesn't affect anyone else on the road. Spare me with the whole "driving is a priveledge not a right" I get that, but I have always and always will continue to find this law intrusive. Up to 18 wear your seatbelt, make sure your kids are strapped in. Rant over, I'll pay the fine and maybe consider putting it on more, I still don't agree with it.

Sadly Eichel is in the 3rd round so talking about him isn't "completely" off topic. How bout Benn though eh?

I'll be honest Were using the house to film the next season of letterkenny. Also, concubines galore.

Wellllll You're right, it's bigger than I need. But the basement is a full separate apartment with 4 bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms, the traveling nurses are paying between 2-4k a month for a place to stay, it has a separate entrance and everything. So it'll be a solid game room when not in use, and will help pay the mortgage when there are some hospital staff staying there. It's much newer and the price was solid, my home, while nice and looks nice is outdated and needs more work than I want to invest. The market is crap for buyers right now so this was a steal all things considered. The land and escaping the HOA were big perks, also I'm going to be pocketing wayyyy more than I ever expected by selling now. I'm almost in shock with how much people offered for my house. Timing is huge I guess. I need to install 4 GFIs and purchase 4 bidets 😂😂😂 they will all have heated seats, I will settle for no less! 😁

I make a pretty good living and I still realize how much money insurance companies and the administrators are making off of me. It's infuriating. So I'm not fully against some of this shift in thinking since Covid. But like many things, it's seems to have swung too far in the opposite direction. There's wanting fair pay and balancing work/life, then there's having a terrible time staffing almost anywhere. It's tough, inflation is up, cost of doing business is up, recouping losses from Covid has to be awful for some business owners.

It's hard for me as I've worked in Healthcare for so long. I also work as a 1099, so I don't get time off/sick time /vacation time, etc. If I show up I get paid, if I miss time, I don't make a penny. So I've definitely worked through things that I would have loved to called in for. I wouldn't even know a good answer to that question. Generally speaking, I find work ethic has declined quite a bit in the recent years, for better or worse.

Liver king is what is wrong with society, so is Tik tok and Twitter. This place is technically "social media" so I can't say that I avoid it completely

Losing 2-1 to the Panthers during the last week of the season isn't making me feel so bad right now, they are just rolling.
-
Panthers have beaten Boston and Toronto, adding Carolina to that list would be quite impressive. By comparison, Carolina had the NYI and Devils (neither had a real chance to be honest)

In the few times that I've gone and paid for said junk... The food was just terrible in general, pizza was cardboard, nachos stale, pretzels hard, dogs were basically poorly boiled tasting, etc etc. Even when I got a Tim Hortons coffee they didn't have any cream or sugar for it (black coffee is fine) but cmon (not sure this is a DN issue or not) I've been to games in DC, hockey games in Vegas and etc, it's night and day different. Even when I went to the amerks game in Laval, the food and drink was 5000% better and that arena sold out with a large number of fans often.

Sad I missed this one, but glad to see the final score.

Last call, 2 free tickets! Someone take them lol.

But... 400 year old Rodgers is going to the Jets to revitalize the whole Northeast 😂😂

I was a Braves fan back in my youth. Chipper Jones, Maddox, Smoltz, Milwood, etc etc. Mostly because they were on TBS. Now I find baseball very boring, not as bad as watching golf, but pretty close.

Cmon inky you know you want 2 free tickets!

Could just "accidentally" drop something nearby

Thanks, I have a lot of confidence in them, I need to see a cardiothoracic vascular surgeon. Buffalo had diagnosed this as a neuro issue. It's crappy, but at least this condition (if correct) may be fixable/reversable. Fingers crossed.

Hey all, I have to be at Cleveland clinic Thursday morning and I bought 2 tix to the game tomorrow night, they are non refundable but if anyone wants them, I can try and transfer as I would hate for them to go to waste. Just let me know, sadly this trip trumps going to the hockey game.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs 2023: Second Round GDT.

I feel like all these games between Dallas and Seattle have been one sided but each game tilts to the opposite side. I don't recall them being overly close, just a lot of goals coming rapidly. Curious to see if Home ice has any advantage in this last game of round 2 -

I'm curious to know, as we most are.... How dysfunctional was this organization?! By all accounts, this was an absolute trash place to play for many years. You had GMs that were incapable, factions in the locker room that were split like a high school drama club, coaches that frankly were not up to the task and talent that didn't mesh. All while being in a state with high taxes and cruddy weather for 3/4 of the year. Add to that, they wouldn't let Eichel take care of his body the way he wanted to. He does look very very good out west, and that sucks for us as we're still on the outside looking in, but it's good for him. I'm more annoyed about Mark Stone being allowed to play than I am about Eichel playing like Eichel. -
Waiting on the appraisal for my current home, if that comes in as hoped then I should be moving to my new place in early July. Have to fix a few things here per the inspection report. 5 acres, no HOA, great view, privacy 6800 sq ft, heated floors throughout, big garage I can work in, etc etc. It's quite the big change in area and also moving out of my first home. But will make things more convenient in life. I can take the profits from this sale and really do a lot of work on the inside to make it exactly how I want it.

A real sport being overrun by a bunch of polo wearing wankers. Golf will never be a real "sport". A leisurely activity with some competition, sure. It's fun to drink some adult sodas and ride around on a golf cart, but the number of people who show up to watch that spectacle is beyond me. Give me guys on razor blades, missing teet and blocking frozen rubber with their bodies any day of the week. Sweep the Marlies!
