Made a nice old fashioned with the Bro in law last night, used bulleit with some simple syrup, bitters and I use orange zest in mine. Sometimes I splash some maple in there too. Delicious. I've also picked up a bottle of 1792, not super expensive and ratings on it are so-so, but I find it to be incredibly smooth and have a great taste. Conversely, I had some Dickels aged last week, and it's basically worse than old crow.

I'm not even thinking playoffs, the scenarios are just too great, especially Bengals over ravens. If the bills only wouldn't have choked against Oakland, Miami, Jets, Pitt then I'd be more inclined to think that way. But Tyrod in 2 weeks shouldn't change our decision, he is what he is, I think he's been evaluated enough, the coaching staff, they are what they are, subpar (defensively) at least. Sure we could play spoiler for Miami perhaps, that's always fun. But for me the season is cooked, and I have no idea where to go with it from here on out

It's about 10 or 11 hours to drive from me.... Flight is 3.5..... I dont hate driving, but unless it's a dedicated road trip for fun, anything over 6 hours makes me think about flying. Besides its just me, if I had wife/kids, then I'd def drive Plus I work a bunch when I'm back and I'd rather not waste the days traveling.

I'll be on a flight to Raleigh through the new year, won't be able to catch games down there, and I'm not even a little upset about that. Last night I was at the mall and a store had the game on: 2-1 canes with 7 to go, sabres got a PP.... Typically, this is where I just stand there with 800 lb bags just drooling at the TV in public. I watched most of the PP and then walked away!!! 2 to freaking 1 with 5 min to go still and I had zero faith. So to feel better, auntie Ann's pretzel and cheese! F this team right now, F this coach

Well, in the 5+ years (idk when I signed up) This is the first time I can say that I've seen such a change in the overall feel of the board. I have sat from afar and watched a couple of posters engage in battle, hell it was almost entertainment at that point, but that was between 2 specific posters, I stayed away from the politics thread and engaged in it for only a short while and then was able to find my way back out, like a big boy. The Sabres kinda suck, have for a while, and that is spilling over into everything else, we start getting good hockey and we start getting posters back. I hope that the many that have expressed their displeasure decide to stay, I consider myself somewhere between a lurker and a poster, but check this board daily, and drop my 2 cents when I feel like it.... Or when I'm drunk :) It's just a message board guys, take a shot, hug it out, and come back and lets all gang up on PA.... P.S. animal house is on Netflix now, so I will watch it soon, so I can fit in again ;)
