Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Hank replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
The wife and I binged season three of Ozark yesterday. Started episode one after breakfast and went to bed after we finished it. It was excellent. Now we don't know what to watch and I'm sad. -
This. But, you know, narrative....

I don't believe the children's home/learning environment was the concern, nor we're the measures implemented to address it. I think the fear was little Sally mistakenly seeing little Joey's dad with his junk out. At least, that was my take away from Neo's post.

Fort Campbell has deployed soldiers (mostly medical personnel I assume) to New York to assist with the caronavirus crisis. I believe NYC specifically, but I'm not positive. If anyone has the furtune(or misfortune?) Of working with these people please share your thoughts/feelings/experience. I spent twelve years there and stayed close by after retirement, I'm very curious.

I don't care if McDermott independently hired Beane directly. It's working. Isn't that what really matters?

The southern hemisphere has opposite seasons from us. Our winter is their summer. Not sure if that's relevant at all. But, if the virus is consistent in both hemispheres, that would imply, at least to me, that it's not seasonal.

This is unprecedented. No hockey in Canada. No NBA in America. No soccer in Europe or South America. No rugby in Australia or New Zealand. No UFC anywhere on the globe. Restaurants, movie theaters and schools are closed. Anyone still comparing carona to the flu is, at best.... naive?
-
You and Eleven should stop ruining the narrative with accuracy.
-
Very interesting.

If the season is pushed past June 30th, is there a clause in the contracts that allows them to also be pushed. Does the NHL have some legal wiggle room here?
-
Thank you.

Serious question, because I just don't understand it, why do people seem to have a problem with Bazos being wealthy?
-
What Beane paid for Diggs is a fair price. The Hopkins trade is ROR level bad, possibly worse. I don't think it's fair to use that one as any sort of standard.
-
Diggs is awesome! Very happy about this.

They are both very good. Love Bosch. Hunters was good. Goliath I enjoyed very much. He are half way through Homeland right now. -
My wife was telling me about a guy that was flying into Nashville, where we live. He told one of the stewardesses he had the Corona virus, jokingly he said later. Passengers were delayed eight hours, he was arrested and permanently banned from that airline. What a jerk. I go home tomorrow. Still don't know if I should be worried about flying and should drive back. Can't decide

I think maybe we're just talking past each other. There factors to consider when deciding to use flux or MIG, such as weather/environment. If you're incorporating that when you talk about process, than you're correct. Once the machine is set up, the application process for the filler metal is the same, which is what I'm referring to. 6010 and 7018 are just rods, the run on the same polarity. I know you know that because it's as basic as it gets. I know it's difficult to infer context(thanks Eleven!?) through text but I don't mean that in a condescending way. I know you're intelligent and knowledgeable. That's why I think we're talking past each other. Things are getting muddled.
-
Again, as I said upthread, MIG uses an 80% argon mix as a shielding gas. The "flux" IS the shielding gas and comes on the wire, just like the 6010 and 7018 rods you use in stick welding. The application process is the exact same, which is much different than stick, and much different than TIG. You know that. I would have no possible way of knowing how long an apprenticeship would be at YOUR specific job that entails much more than welding. I was referencing a pipe fitter local, but you knew that too.
-
Ok. I'm done.
-
No ***** it's a different wire! I've said that twice. It's still the same ***** process. All you do is take two minutes to swap out the spools. It's a fact you can't dispute. The apprenticeship at the local I mentioned is ONE year, not the FOUR that you pulled out of your ass. Call them and ask. All you need is a GED to enroll in a welding program. Fact. Call any trade school that offers it and ask. You disputed that I could do all the processes on one machine. I showed you the machine I use and your reply was to tell me what you use that Can't do it. Not my fault I use better machines than your employer provides, get pissy with them about it. No. Everything I've posted regarding welding is factual and can be verified through a Google search, with the possible exception of the referenced local regarding length of apprenticeship which could take a phone call if it can't be found on the website. I'm more knowledgeable than he assumed and use better equipment than he does, and he's being pissy.
-
What prior training? They went to a trade school. Anyone with a GED can do it. It's not hard. I use a LE31MP for the three processes. Three, not four, as flux core IS MIG with a flux core wire. If you're unfamiliar with the machine I'd be happy to walk you through it.
