  1. Based on this new information I think I can create a hypothetical story as to what happened. I think PLF does his damnedest to keep his continued concussion issues under wraps. Pegula is told by him that he's okay for the most part and thus is hired. As time goes on Pegula notices the problem PLF is having and may have even offered to help him by adding a mattress or something to assist him. While bristled, PLF chooses not to accept the assistance. Time goes on and the hiring of GMTM occurs. GMTM states he'll think about extending Miller but under specific contractual barriers. He won't pay him 6mil a year or sign him in through his 40th birthday. PLF thus sets off to convince Miller while GMTM works on his plan with or without Miller and taking into account how stripped the team was already. Miller wants something close to the 6mil mark and GMTM refuses, PLF angered storms off to try again. The day of the trade GMTM explains in front of his staff and PLF his reasoning and plans going forward with evidence to back it. Later that day GMTM bangs out the Miller/Ott trade and gives PLF/staff a heads up and sends Battista to tell Nolan not to start them. PLF is angered but chooses to merely to watch the game; however the interview with Miller lights a fire under PLF and he angrily calls a staff meeting after the game. PLF gives a tirade to the staff including GMTM about not giving him further notice,GMTM states the deal was far to good to pass up and that in his time within other organizations the GM is given that right, to make a call with time of the essence. PLF schedules meeting with Pegulas, snaps at some point and the TP tells him to calm down. PLF decides to resign, so Pegula chooses to put the info under wraps for the sake of all parties and PLF goes back to the NHL job he had.
  2. I don't under appreciate Reinhart, just the dots seem to line up nicely with all the ROR talk. Personally I'd rather just keep Reinhart and Zadorov and not get ROR at this point.
  3. The only way I take 3 for Reinhart is if we take Hanifan thus making Zadorov expendable to acquire ROR
  4. :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: We are not worthy! I think he walks up there and uses sign language to spell Jack Eichel. So 0 words said. Have Eichel go up there and select Tim Murray.
  5. Grigo is still worth something solely due to his potential and the egos of GMs being they can fix him. Grigo, 31, and 51 would be my initial offer for Okposo
  6. Okposo wouldn't be a bad pick up at the right price, put him with Moulson and Eichel and you'd essentially be just reforming the 1st line of the Isles.
  7. 2-3 I see Murray making a few smaller trades and likely doing something with 21 and/or 31 Granted I'm counting 21's acquisition even if via draft as a player if we move up or down.
  8. I like it! Legit defensive zone strategy and practicing. I love though if you scroll through the full article, it talks about the new rookie in prospect camp, Drew Doughty
  9. One of my favorite losses we had all year, I felt so good seeing them all sticking up for each other. That is a part of building a champion, its not so much the quantity of bruisers you have but rather or not your team will protect each other up and down the roster. A team that plays for each other is the team that is more likely to win it all since everyone will buy in to their roles regardless of their personal reservations. Think of Andrew Shaw who was a 2nd liner in 2013 who was solely a 4th liner in 2015. In a sense this was a team building exercise. I don't miss that part about him at all, I miss his size/skill freakishness but seeing him get literally punched in the Girgs scrum and merely keep hugging made me disappointed.
  10. I think he's a low 3rd high end fourth liner who will help a lot in the playoffs.
  11. Or Mrs. Murray, she could draft Eichel though :P
  12. Maybe Edmonton will trade 16 to us for 21 and 51 then trade 21 and 51 to NYR for Talbot.
  13. Hjalmarsson, Hossa, Kane, Keith, Seabrook, Sharp, and Toews Sharp is almost gone, he may be on another team before the draft even. Aside from him though they are likely ok. Hossa will eventually retire, and I highly doubt they don't move heaven and earth to keep Seabrook. Keith loves the guy so hell, the Blackhawks may end up doing under the table dealings with Toews, Kane, and Keith giving Seabrook money and him signing at his present rate. Had Kane and Toews known the cap would be not be going up I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't of taken the 10mil contracts. Probably more like 9mil.
  14. Seeing as he just got married, I wouldn't want to be in any of the pictures that would circulate. :flirt:
  15. I wouldn't mind Sharp here either if he comes cheaply, 3 Cup Rings is nothing to scoff at and he'd fill that winger vacancy. My problem with any O'Reilly deal is the likely departure of Zadorov who'd I'd not be all that interested in departing with. Plus it would open a vacancy on defense that lacks a ready young defensive guy. Presently we have: Risto - NHLer Zadorov - NHL-esc (he's sorta in-between AHL and NHL skill presently) Pysyk - NHL ready McCabe - needs more time to season in the AHL Bogosian - he's like a weird old youngster, (Ruhwedal) - More of a borderline guy Trading Zadorov would require us to acquire a new high end defensive prospect.
  16. If anything, I think the fact they gave Toronto 66/1 angers me. They are likely worse than Buffalo next year yet somehow have a better chance....
  17. I'd give them Hodgson, they can buy him out if they wish, 31, 2016 2nd, and a B rank prospect for Nash. My rationale is if they want to move him due to cap, not many teams have the space and would want a high skill player. Toronto/Arizona won't want to risk their tanks. After all he is 30 and more than likely will slow down, and we'd just transfer his money to Eichel in 3 years. One could also fathom Buffalo merely taking part of his salary for something before he's sent elsewhere
  18. I think 25 goals is probably what he'll hit on average, likely he'll have a 30 goal season one year however. Varying on who he plays with though will have quite the effect on his assists increase.
  19. If true I'd more afraid of losing Zadorov due to this, if Griggy was going. Especially with word Zadorov has gone and tied the knot over in Russia.
  20. I'd likely wouldn't of commented in that regard, but I do think I'd still like Eichel regardless. Would still want McDavid though.
  21. I'd give Zadorov, 21, Compher, and next year's 2 and 3 for OEL
  22. I'm unsure as to the situation prior to this but it would appear as Eichel is more confident with the NHLers than McDavid is so far, seems likely thanks to the Worlds. McDavid stood with the group and shook Toews hand from the side as seen in another picture, Eichel stood in front of him and shook his hand. In a sense I get the impression while impressed and equally happy to meet one of the NHL's greats, since he's already played against a few he isn't quite so shy in introducing himself. I doubt this has any long term value but just an observation I saw.
  23. BRO That will be all... :flirt:
  24. I'm not quite as much a Hawks fan, my father though probably would root for them over even the Sabres. So the Hawks and Flames, when I was little I liked their logo, have always been my next favorite teams.
  25. I hope the Hawks break Tampa's necks to be honest. Tampa doesn't deserve a Cup over an original 6 team. Oh how I wish Zadorov would of pummeled Hedman when he had the chance. Burn in Hell Tampa, burn in Hell! Let's Go Hawks!!!
