Send this to Lehner's twitter or someone on the Sabres media people. They'd get a kick out of this I'd bet.

Furious, bad initial plays by Risto but the ref's mistake overshadows Risto's screw up due to to how outrageous it was. Team looked good and bad at various times, but deserves to at least get a chance to win which the ref denied us. Love Lehner's passion and he deserved a win. Eichel and Reinhart both played well, Eichel's play at the end of the third was awesome how he just outstrengthed that Bruin to make a chance. Reinhart played a second game in a row where he looked the part of a 2nd overall from start to finish. Loved his 2 goals.

Retained Salary, Takes a percentage of the cap hit. Then maybe we could get something for Legwand, granted I'd love for him to retire here and work at Harbor Center so that he can continue mentoring younger players.
-
As I've said from the start though, McGinn(50%) + 3rd should very much equal a 1st. He's be a quality player at a hair shy of 1.5mil. Weber(50%) could equate anywhere from a 3rd to a 5th. Granted you may be able to trade him and a 3rd to get a 2nd if you play your cards right. Carlo gets a 5th at best I'd assume. Legwand could fetch a ? Honestly I have no clue.

Burns to Buffalo, bring my kin home

PA I think you've finally lost it. This is a article about traveling to Buffalo for Leafs fans, obviously it will be made more Leaf friendly. Its meant to create business, not kill the Sabres; we've always had a large number flock across the border so why not induce them to stay awhile longer and spend in our city. If anything this helps Buffalo as a whole since we are cashing in on desperate Leaf fans. I'd love for us to have a full Sabre fanbase at a Leafs game but that isn't realistic. Any fan will eventually be swayed by the loads of cash Leafs fans are willing to give to see a single game. Literally I've been told that you can pay for your season tickets by merely selling your 2/3 Leaf games, and for most Sabres fans that is a great deal. Then you can cheer on your team for 38/39 games for pretty much parking costs. Unless you have enough money to pay off all those people's tickets, they will find a way to pay off those tickets, and Leafs fans tend to be desperate enough to foot the bill. Also, this has absolutely nothing with our Stanley Cup aspirations; these aren't playoff games, and rarely have Sabres-Leafs games mattered to much of anything in the past decade. Now PA, please end this endless hatred for all things Pegulas....... Critique is welcomed but remember they own the teams, and they kept them in Buffalo. They at very least deserve credit for that.

I miss 05-07 hockey where you had similar yet different to what we have now. Good riddance to the USSR, what I've seen of it is that it truly fit their country. Everything and everyone is merely a cog in the Soviet hockey machine. In the end our more gritty individualistic style won out. Their system while interesting to watch between our two sides but would of been a real bore if the entire NHL played that way. It would be hardline possession tactics intending on wearing down the opposition and passing 2 minutes for one shot. Mainly because both sides would require extensive patience and even further limiting of creativity. I'd love more skill but I'm not going to destroy defense to accomplish a higher score. Shrink goalie pads a bit. Don't let them wear puffy torso protection and I'd bet scoring would increase. Nothing radical.

McGinn & Johnson are the only two I'd be willing to send them since they are divisional opponents. McGinn, Johnson, and a 3rd for a Lottery protected 1st. If they miss the playoffs, Buffalo receives MTL's 2nd this year and receives MTL's 1st in 2017. BUF sends their 2017 4th back in that case. Interesting?

Thought about mentioning that, didn't know if it would of been noticed :)

Girgs seems to like the role of supporting a star. While he can do stuff, he's willing to not take the accolades and assist others. He seems to value winning more than anything. He works well with Eichel, like he had with Ennis, because he seems to just understand that at any moment the puck may find him or to be on the lookout for them to find space. Great win! The end was nailbiting but they definitely were tired so I'm only somewhat angry with their turtling.
-
So disappointing to lose yet again but on the bright side Eichel and Girgs looked great together and even Moulson looked less like a zombie out there. If I'm angry at anything it would have to be the refs on the softer calls against us yet our guys were hacked and slashed with nothing called from it. That and we have negative puck luck, that 4th goal was pure luck of it hitting Bogo's stick and going directly and cleanly to Miller. And the first was a bit of a lucky bounce but at least Gionta's sorta cancels it out. Stop pulling the goalie, our offense looks inept with 6-5. Eich and Girgs! :)

Unless Ennis = Shattenkirk I doubt I have much interest, not even mentioning he's another rightie.

Would Barrie even work here seeing as he's a RHD? Risto didn't look great on his offside which is why I'm asking. Not to mention the idea Buffalo taking Barrie due to contract problems would be hilarious.
-
But it doesn't work that way... If Bickell had McGinn's contract he might be worth it to a playoff team thanks to his amazing playoffs in 2013. Supply is low, Demand is high; thus making McGinn worth more than Stewart was last year. Also remember Stewart was originally able to fetch a 2nd + Spooner from Boston but GMTM gambled he could get more for him.

Let's see if it works again! ROR & McGinn versus their old team. I hope ROR scores a hatty just to smite Roy for his comments. -
Does this reduce Drouin's value?

That'd kick ###.

Great picture, Bogo looks insane and OEL looks confused by something. Awesome win all around, you guys have said anything I would of mentioned so why bother. Instead I'll just listen to the Win song on repeat and smile like Bogo Poor Risto and his penalty minutes, well worth those though -

We won last time so here we go again. -
Just imagine if we can fetch two late 1sts for McGinn and Franson and a 3rd or 2. We could go out and get ourselves a Dman very likely

Hey, I've gotten better over the years......Eklund hasn't
-
I see it that way, if we lose we get closer to the bottom, if we win we gain more successful info on our new core. This season at least, we can't really lose since no matter what we are rewarded in some way.

2nd favorite win this season, only the comeback against the Bruins was cooler. Eichel is slowing down again, but he still draws penalties, two or three, and has spurts of what we like to see out of him. They actually played a complete game tonight, I'm going to miss the Risto-Ovi dual until next year. Aside from Risto-Lucic, ts my favorite match-up to see. I think Moulson had 1 nice shift tonight, then faded into nothingness. Legwand and Gionta both looked solid for our geezer corp. Kane and Bogo have been playing more physical, and when they do it shows. Pysyk is awesome, Risto was great, and even Weber wasn't half bad. Honestly after his return from injury, Weber has looked rather competent and capable. Great game guys!! -
