  1. No problem, I had thought on a similar train of thought in order to acquire Grubauer
  2. I mentioned this idea about 2 weeks ago :)
  3. Hasek, I grew up watching him steal games in the late 90's Drury/Briere Loved both of them as this two headed beast who destroyed all in their wake
  4. The problem is there aren't many wingers out there...... either they'd require to many assets or they are one dimensional. I liked my McCabe for Yamamoto deal seeing as I could really see Edmonton biting on that and he's a solid winger prospect. Vanek is a 1 year guy who has spurts of speed and still scores Wilson is a solid bottom 6 winger ERod I really want to see with Eichel as for RW Okposo should bounce back this year to some degree Reinhart (2nd Half) would be our best winger Baptiste, speedy who has scoring potential Pominville & Hendricks, vet presence who sit on the bottom line or in the suites Bailey, extra fast guy
  5. To be honest while Seabrook is cooked, I think Keith may still have a little left in the tank due to how he plays the game. Place him next to Dahlin and I'd bet he'll look like he did a couple years ago. Not to mention his resume is worth the contract, 2 Norris, a Conn Smythe and 3 Cups where he had an instrumental part of winning them. He's reliable health wise and aside from this year he was still a solid Dman. And this year he was playing the Ristolainen role on a defense that has been stripped of most of its overall talent. What about https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/679026
  6. Would any of you be interested in Nylander McCabe Fasching 2019 2nd 2018 4th For Duncan Keith Vinny Hinostroza
  7. Because it is both unrealistic and idiotic to attempt and completely wipe this team down to the studs without making us wait 4 more years
  8. Finally I can stop carrying this damn torch
  9. Here's another idea I tried to find a nice mix of vets and speed, and as for the high cap dumps 2019 Contracts that end of not: Pominville 5.6mil Orpik 5.5mil Moulson 5mil (Granted 1mil was saved during the season) Hagelin 4 mil Vanek 3.25mil Kruger 3.08mil (Granted 1mil was saved during the season) Hendricks 2mil I'm attempting to maximize our cap space while we have the opportunity to use it to gain further assets.
  10. Nelson is technically a UFA
  11. I would trade Beaulieu and Antipin (rights) and buyout Bogosian
  12. The cap will be at 80mil And based off this other team I made earlier we'd still have 10 mil in cap space. Remember we shed Gorges contract and a Bogosian buyout would give us nearly 3.5 mil. Plus I'm ridding us of Beaulieu Orpik's is 5.5mil x 1 year
  13. I'd see if I could get Grubauer and Orpik (cap dump) a 3rd in 2019 and Johan Larsson & our 2nd in 2019
  14. Would you be willing to take on Orpik's salary to get Grubauer? Beaulieu for Hagelin straight up?
  15. I'm unwilling to trade Risto
  16. Can anyone give me some names of quick wingers that might be available for trade or signing aside Grabner. I'm still at this essentially https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/665095 But we still lack any real speed on the wings besides Bailey, ERod, Baptiste, and maybe the guy I acquired from EDM?
  17. I'd start the season (buying out Bogo) Guhle - Risto Scandella - Dahlin Pilut - Nelson McCabe Then once Dahlin is flying you just swap the top pairings. Regardless it will save Risto from needing to play 27min a night.
  18. Finally we are winners! Dahlin! Dahlin! Dahlin!
  19. I pray to God Allen drinks from the well of Middelstadt and becomes a demi-god. Otherwise we ###### up again..... The second pick I really liked.
  20. Ales Kotalik when he was at his peak is what I see. Not an amazing stickhandler but very good Incredible shot Likely will thrive either on PP1 or PP2
  21. No way I’m trading ROR to Montreal; anything we’d receive would pale in comparison to how much ROR would save them. If I’m trading him, he’s going out West
  22. Glad to see Kane doing well in SJS, they have a very strong leadership group so I highly doubt he’ll have any behavior problems if he stays. And if he stays he’ll thrive.
  23. Let's set the stage, it's opening night in 2016 and the Sabres have just learned Eichel is out at least 20 games. He returns the team stumbles around but gets within a few points of the playoffs by the bye week only to completely spiral afterwards. Eichel sulks a bit after losing after his multiple points and then misses out on his bonus because of it. Eichel is a young man with high aspirations for the future, faith in his team, blinders even to how bad they actually are thus feels their woes are due to Bylsma's system. He's pissed, speaks to the media like a child and, while I doubt he threatened contract negotiation stuff, wanted Bylsma gone. In his head, Bylsma's looser system for him should be extended to his teammates and since that won't happen with Bylsma; he needs to be rid of to allow the Sabres to play modern NHL style hockey rather than defensive styled hockey with endless stretch passes. He accomplishes this with the help of his fellow angry teammates and with the firing of GMTM and Bylsma and then hiring of Botts and Housley they would get just that. So he goes into the offseason confident this team will thrive and later signs on the dotted line to stay here 8 more years after this one. Housley's system is more to his liking, Botts is more personable as well and the team will rock, right? Wrong, they start off awfully as many players can't handle playing the system and although Kane, Pommers, and he are playing well; everyone else is a train wreck. Then goes Moulson to the minors, it shocks him as he believed Moulson would look better if he got more opportunity to score but instead looked incapable. The season continues and they still suck, he's confused by the fact this isn't working. Although he does start trying to take a more leader-like role but then he gets injured again. The season could be over and yet again his team is a failure. His frenemy in Matthews is going to likely go to the playoffs while he's stuck on the couch. He works to get back, he wants to finish the season strong but watching the team from above confirms what he had refused to believe so far in his career.....They sucked, while they still looked better than last year at times his teammates seemed in over their heads at times. Like a switch in his head going off, he knew what was wrong; it wasn't Bylsma as much as it was his team, they couldn't handle the modern NHL game, they rarely gave a solid effort, and they were jokes. It was time to grow up, because as the franchise player with 8 more years here; if he wanted success he would need to personally lead them to it and if that meant he may lose a few of his friends a long the way than so be it. This was his team and thus he was a changed man. What do you guys think?
  24. I have no idea where the mods are but shouldn’t this thread be locked? After all none of this thread even mentions goats or the temporary acquisition of one.
  25. That is true....
