I'd like Reider, and I might even be curious in grabbing Duclair

No but Nylander is worth more since he's a Top 10 pick, plus trading Reinhart for another player merely spins our wheels in offense production. Essentially your deal is way to much overpayment Reinhart(22) is a 45 to 50 pt guy that's younger than Zucker(26) and Nino(25) and has better stats than both of them in terms of consistent play. Reinhart is 15-16 23g-19a 42pts in 79 games .53 pts per game 16-17 17g-30a 47pts in 79 games .59 pts per game 17-18 25g-25a 50pts in 82 games .61 pts per game .576 pts per game average Zucker is 15-16 13g-10a 23pts in 71 games .32 pts per game 16-17 22g-25a 47pts in 79 games .59 pts per game 17-18 33g-31a 64pts in 82 games .78 pts per game .563 pts per game average Nino is 15-16 20g-23a 43pts in 82 games .52 pts per game 16-17 25g-32a 57pts in 82 games .69 pts per game 17-18 18g-14a 32pts in 63 games .50 pts per game .57 pts per game average In the past 3 years Reinhart has been on average the better player all while being 3 years younger and on a terrible team HFboards, I got a guy to agree to this Nylander, McCabe and our 3rd that can become a 2nd for Zucker, Nino and Ennis

Pick John Tavares' Next Team -- Update -- JT to Leafs
thewookie1 replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
How would Nashville fit him in, they can for one year if they jettison both of their RFAs but otherwise they have 12mil in total space as of this time. -
I'm not making that trade I might do Nylander and our 3rd next year for Zucker/Nino and Ennis but I'm not dealing away Reinhart
-
While true, Orpik has the advantage of having won a cup last year and playing a solid part in said success. Plus its for a single year.
-
He's related to the other Samuelsson, Sjell or something like that
-
I'd guess we wouldn't be the worst in the league but we certainly wouldn't be a playoff team.

You can't create a bias based on a total of 2 2nd rounders and a bunch of later round picks who actually award you more if you avoid the CHL in theory. The lower in the draft you go, the more development they need. CHL players give you a mere two years to judge them on where as a college player gives you up to four. Just because Mittlestadt was a college player doesn't mean he hates the CHL. Just look at the number of college players on Pittsburgh.

He honestly strikes me as a mid 6 defenseman who just does his job, doesn't make a lot of noise(aside from the boards' noise) and will naturally work with a Risto or Dahlin type in the future.
-
He's effectively an American defenseman that is masquerading as a Swedish denfenseman :)

Seeing as late picks are far less easy to project have 2 more years does make a lot of sense. So until he proves us otherwise I'd take him at his word. I also believe that many of the forwards he wanted were taken prior to his pick and the BPA just ended up with D every time. And seeing as D tend to take longer to reach the NHL and are technically harder to get it technically makes sense from a value approach. A "C" Defensive prospect holds more value than a "C" Winger prospect more often than not.

It could potentially be a ruse to get them to pay their price sooner. Just because Pegula is willing to pay 7.5 million doesn't mean he should have to
-
Pittsburgh and Vegas just did the same trade as us in the 7th round. Weird

Supposedly a Patches to SJS fell through at the last minute. From his tweet @TheFourthPeriod
-
as I suspected
-
Maybe Botts just wants to get the hell back to Buffalo with Dahlin quicker?
-
Not a good idea, Hamilton is a locker room cancer it would appear as based on the reports coming from the draft news guys. They said he just didn't "fit in" on the Flames and it was a similar problem with Boston. I love skill, but we didn't trade Kane to get a Kane of the back end
-
I wouldn't say he's high on them as hopeful they're healthy thus allowing the depth chart to actually not be ran through a meat grinder again. Remember we were supposedly in talks with LA about Bogosian but he immediately got injured. Even if he wanted to be rid of him he's worthless presently I also would admit he is likely a good locker room guy but is just made of glass.

I really am hoping the Avs buyout Orpik because I'd love to get him here as an extra Dman cheap. https://theathletic.com/371664/2018/05/30/whether-hes-pops-or-big-brother-brooks-orpiks-mentorship-has-molded-this-young-caps-team/ This one is a sub only though https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capitals-insider/wp/2018/05/26/brooks-orpik-is-only-capitals-player-with-stanley-cup-experience-hes-a-big-role-model/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.a74e37abbf98 Someone on the HFboards posted these and I read them and decided this would be a solid move. Especially when the Athletic article talked about Orpik being a uniting figure in the dressing room who helps the young European kids have people to eat lunch with and give everyone pointers about how to be an NHL player. He's won 2 Cups now and while he's slow as molasses, I'd want him almost solely for his character.

So what happened to Wilde anyway?
-
The last part makes me imagine Dahlin hip checking McDavid in his first match up :)
-
If I got #3 from MTL I'd probably trade down 2 or 3 spots, mainly because I don't feel stronger on either Wahlstrom, Zadina or Tkachuk. I think they all will become solid players abiet very different. All three would have the potential to thrive with either Eichel or Mittlestadt
-
Worse The downgrade of ROR to RNH is far more drastic to the small upgrade of Risto to Parayko.
-
I wonder how much Minny would give us for ROR?
-
Actually I believe he said as of now he isn't trading their 1st round pick. He said the same thing for Subban and Galchenyuk
