  1. I can't believe the number of names I've never heard of on these so-called Mount Rushmores. I must be disconnected from many of these posters.
  2. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, Rodney Dangerfield
  3. I for one have faith in Sam. Look at the rotating management teams and systems already tried for the last few years. It's enough to confuse any youngster. If Buffalo gets stable management, I think Sam will eventually thrive.
  4. I'd trade O'Reilly before Kane but after Okposo.
  5. I agree with what he wrote; sounds like you're not that happy about that....Hamilton can't stand the new O'Reilly either...I know some people have bad words for Hamilton but IMO he's an astute hockey man. Just putting 2 and 2 together, that's all. Alcohol is one of those things that us fans can't see what happens behind the scenes. The on-ice product is the only thing we see and they are totally underachieving this year. There's got to be something behind that besides bad luck and you can draw your own conclusions.
  6. Seems like the Sabres may have an alcoholic culture/leadership on their hands with OReilly and Kane and who knows who else. sounds like a bait and switch by OReilly on a desperate organization with rich, rookie owners. Now that he's got his money, he has gone Leino on us, becoming selfish and lazy. Cant say it wasnt predictable by his drunken car crashing antics one minute after being signed. I think Reinhart was an impressionable youth who was badly influenced in the Discipline Dept. and got caught up in OReilly's and Kane's bad veteran leadership along with Eichel... remember Jack and Sam were there with Kane when he got in trouble that night on Chippewa.
  7. No. He laid a beating on the organization and fans and he has never paid for it.
  8. before he leaves Id like to see Kane clean LUcics clock as a special favor to Sabre fans and to settle an old score.
  9. There does seem to be an all-out assault on men these days, in many ways.
  10. You should file for sexual harassment. More men should. That would learn 'em.
  11. I don't know if it's the worst team ever but it's definitely the worst Goal Song Ever. Sounds light lin the loafers.
  12. Gil Perreault +42 Rick Martin +15 Rene Robert +0 Craig Ramsay +328 Don Luce +197 Danny Gare +161 According to hockey-reference.com, here are the career plus/minus of the players on the French Connection line and the Luce-Ramsay-Gare line.
  13. A pickup buddy of mine I play with had a shot deflected and ride up to his eye. Didn't hit him square in the eye but right above. Months later he still has blurred vision. I was there. Blood all over the place. And this is roller. The pUck isnt as heavy as the one in ice. He wears a cage now. As for vision, if you have great vision, even in just one eye, you have an edge over other players who wear a cage. Lots of players don't have great vision cage or no cage, I understand that. But you have to protect your face, the eyes, the jaw etc and most players dont do it at all or just do a half-job protecting it. I think vision or no vision, a cage is the answer.
  14. Another NHL forward out with a broken jaw: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks-sven-baertschi-injury-1.4443045 I know players are tough but if you're the type of forward that plants himself in front of the net for a living, chances are you are going to get a broken jaw. Vanek and Lafontaine did too, not to mention too many others. I think players who play this type of positioning should consider a facemask.(Sam Reinhart) I look forward to the day that the league looks out for the safety of players and after the grandfathers die out, everyone in the NHL should required to wear a facemask like football. The game is too quick and dangerous and the risk is not worth it, despite the minimal vision limitations.
  15. You are correct sir. Add Kulikov to the list. ...Scott Wilson has a chance to succeed...if he partners with Rodrigues.
  16. OT in the NHL: Three on three pond hockey. With a power play, it becomes 4 on 3. Makes sense, right? Changes almost every year. Then there's the skills competition in the end. Moral of this story: you never trust a FW playing D against another FW, especially in pond hockey. This time, Jack took the bait. I didn't see this game but I saw the last two. There has been improvement with the Sabres compete level and that's good...Maybe we will beat out Arizona after all. Striving for mediocrity.
  17. Good luck Matt! (Yeesh) http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-socal-wildfires-main-20171206-story.html
  18. Id rather see Bailey play than Girgensons, who is a total fail as a #1 draft choice. They both have 3 pts.
  19. The Bills have been good every 30 years...they were good in the 60s and 90s. Maybe they'll be good again in the 2020s. I can't wait that long and waste time on this kind of time interval. It's not the sign of a professional organization.
