  1. I'm wondering how Bellichick would have reacted working for the Pegulas? Maybe that's why so many coaches and GMs bolt or get fired from Pegulas' so-called pro sports organizations...the owners are too meddlesome and treat the franchises like their own personal equal opportunity experiment.
  2. I don't want to keep repeating it but I hate the Pegulas with a deep down passion. They have brought this franchise to its knees with their stupidity and continued rookie mistakes. When you have a franchise that's in deep doo-doo, you don't go hiring a first time GM AND Coach. Damn those stupid frackers! (you've triggered me again PA)
  3. so TRUE. What really disturbed me about last night's game is all the missed shots that Eichel had. He must have had about 15 shots and at least half of them missed the net. That's not elite skill, that's frustration setting in. I know he has been hot of late, but on a losing team (thanks to Terry and Kim Pegula) people get down in the dumps and want to escape the losing as soon as possible. But you wake up in the morning and although you're $80 million richer, you are still a bum because you are on a losing team that has no clue on how to win. That losing team is going to continue for a long time. I think Eichel signed a deal with the devil.
  4. What Samson needs is confidence.
  5. Scoring goals, consistently competing for 60 minutes, learning how to win, eliminating mistakes from and getting clean break-outs out of the d-zone. Also send out the losers and bring on the winners.
  6. It would be a gamble but it could boost Reinhart, who has played with Duclair (and Domi).
  7. Coyotes Duclair requests trade: https://www.tsn.ca/report-coyotes-f-duclair-requests-trade-1.959201 Why not?
  8. The way Vegas is going, I wouldn't be too surprised if they won the Stanley Cup this year. This franchise has been shot out of a cannon.
  9. I just want to see this team ring up 6, 7 or 8 goals, just once.
  10. One of the more frustrating games to watch for a few reasons. But hopefully can draw penalties and the power play can click like it has been lately.
  11. Does the NBC camera director have ADHD? I think so. . It's too far away, it's always moving and the puck is an afterthought. I can't see what the hell's happening at all
  12. That Eichel goal on the power play...looks like he was channeling his inner Stamkos...and IMO the power play is finally coming to life.

  14. good win...way to hang in there. Devils are qUite good...Eichel was a step ahead... on shots, deflections and passes..however all the bad giveaways in the d-zone by D, FW and G were Very Upsetting.
  15. another chance for Will Butcher to add to his totals: GP 36 G 2 A 21 PT 23 PM 6 Maybe we can start a thread about players who used the Sabres to up their contracts.
  16. Please, somebody help me on this: so if the league didn't order the whistle to blow 45 seconds after the fact and during live play and the game ended, could the Islanders have challenged the"no-goal" call and have the goal counted anyway, even if it was challenged after the game?
  17. Bingo. It may be off-years for the league (s) that Buffalo is allowed to get to a championship round but come on, no way will they ever be allowed to win it.
  18. Yeah, it was almost like a certain player we follow having the best year of his life right before the big contract.
  19. I've been following the team since day 1 and pretty much agree with Lehner. The major leagues are against the Sabres and Bills. When the players aren't screwing up, bad luck comes in. When bad luck is delayed, Buffalo loses bad calls and endure no-calls and the only ones we get are the token calls. It is very depressing to fans and players that Buffalo always loses but to the NHL and NFL it's understandable. It's all about money. There is no real money behind the Buffalo market on a national level. Leagues have to make money to survive. When push comes to shove, one way or another, Buffalo takes the bullet. It looks to me that the current crop of Sabres players have pretty much submitted to this fatalism. Even when they play well, the luck and then the calls go against them. You have to look in the mirror and realize who we are and then you can put everything in perspective...We are the Washington Generals. We were born to lose.
  20. Getting expensive players who have never played for the Sabres before never seems to work. But the Sabres don't learn and they keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
  21. I'm trying to pinpoint the moment that this franchise went downhill. It has been a freefall since Pegula took over but I'm thinking maybe the beginning of the end was when Golisano eliminated the scouting department, which might have been at the root of our scouting problems, setting us back for years.
