I hear ya. I caught my wife humming one of their songs in the car and asked her where she heard that and her station was her reply. I'm 51 so I'm not in their target group either but they got me.

21 pilots are great. The first time I heard stressed out it was in my head for a week. Went to youtube and found a wack more good to great songs by them. They are now high on my playlist.

I think my favorite moment was Eichs 3rd goal of the season. I believe it was against Ottawa where he stole the puck from their man at the blue line and skated back in to score. The strength he displayed to muscle the puck from that player and take it back in to score was a real eye opener for me. So friggin excited for whats to come with this guy.

The wife and myself are pretty strict with the household recycling. I've walked the 3 blocks to work for 10 years now and we actually bought our house in the old city quarter of town so we would be ' downtown ' and I could do exactly that. We can walk anywhere downtown from our house and public transit is literally a block away. So we own one car which is small and economical for the times we need to drive. There are areas where we could make improvements. I'm workin on that.

He isn't even in the conversation. I was dumbfounded that he isn't mentioned. Is it a Buffalo thing ? Why do people not take notice of this kid ? I don't understand it but it is what it is. Second in points and goals and they spent more time talking about McDavids abreviated season and whether he should get it or not.

I don't envy them their cups. They choked the life right out of the game but they won em fair and square. I couldn't for the life of me sit through even one of their games from that time period. Talk about watching cement dry.

I'm not talking about a lottery. And injuries are a part of this sport , always have been and always will play a part in a teams performance or lack thereof. The cap is supposed to help small markets compete and hold the large markets in check anyways ( some would argue whether it actually works ) so rewarding the best team of the worst 5 would actually go a long way towards changing this culture of rewarding teams that want to lose.

I kind of like Shane Doans idea of once you're officially eliminated the goal is to get as many points from then till the end of the season and the team which gets the most points wins the pick. It would then be a race to play lights out rather than ice the worst team. Maybe change it up a little to only include the first 5 that are officially eliminated ?

I thought to myself that if a group of survivors wanted to completely abandon every principle that had helped them survive up until that point and go hodge podge in every direction and split into 3 or 4 different groups with different objectives then yeah, lets do this. Ricks leadership has never looked as vulnerable. These people deserve to lose some members. The 90 minute finale should be good minus the 45 minutes of commercial time. Looking forward to it.
