Help me out here (didnโt watch the game), 42 shots on net! Only 2 goals? Perimeter shooting all night or what? -
Defense. All day! They are terrible at defending. Pegula comes in a close second. Dumbass owner who doesn't know how to hire proper front office hockey people and get out of the way.

Playing with Gretzky and Ovechkin, Mike Knuble is the only one.

Great article. I enjoyed reading it. Thanks for posting LGR4GM! -
I long for the defensive days of McKee, Warrener and Hank Talinder. Until BUF gets a real defense out there that will dish out punishment, then this soft ass team will remain stuck in neutral. Bryson, Johnson, Byram etc can skate like the wind but can't or won't take the body or clear the front of the net. Its mind boggling. FIX THE GDAM DEFENSE!

Wrong. Read Harringtons article today in the Buffalo News. This lies squarely on Pegula who refuses to inject proven hockey minds in the front office. From the article: "And since social media and TV are only concerned about those kind of clips and not any real depth, whatโs missed is the most important takeaway from the news conference: Adams speaks to Pegula every day. Itโs well-known by those of us who cover this team but lots of you probably needed to hear that in the open. Thereโs your organizational red flag, the siren wailing to signify the real problem here."

From Paul Hamilton: โIf this were my team Jiri Kulich, Jacob Bryson and Dennis Gilbert would all be in the lineup on Saturday in Detroit. Friday night was unacceptable and some players need to pay the price.โ Iโd welcome the change personally. Wonder what Lindy will do tomorrow? -
Same here. Glad I have the Golden Knights to root for (thankfully in the Western Conf) so my love for hockey hasn't been diminished too bad. Still love the Sabres, but its getting harder and harder to keep positive about this club unfortunately.

Would have liked to see Brodie Ziemer โ RW on this roster. Maybe U of Minnesota Gophers said no? Not sure how that works. I've got high hopes for this kid.

Since the 2020 season, hes only played 174 out of a possible 328 games. Seems to me he can't stay healthy (I know he was in the players assistance program too). Who knows where this guys head is and to me its too risky to acquire him even if CBJ retains some of his salary. So its a PASS for me. Maybe GMKA has a different opinion, but I don't think he's gonna pull the trigger on the Finnish winger.

Jeff Skinner rumors, trade and buyout speculation swirling
Hawerchuk replied to Flashsabre's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe, just maybe, Ruff can help Skinner be a better defensive player if Jeff is still on the roster this coming season? It's wishful thinking I get it, but it would do wonders for Skinners game. We all know the guy can score in bunches. -
2024 Stanley Cup Final - Edmonton vs Florida
Hawerchuk replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
I prefer to keep the 1993 Canada drought still alive. No Cups since Montreal defeated LA in '93. Okposo deserves a Stanley Cup. Dude has been in the league a long time. I'm for the Panthers. -
He would be a smart addition to this team. He's got speed and wins draws. Plus two CUPS (WSH, VGK).
-
51 and Still waiting for a Stanley Cup!
-
Kevyn Adams should dial up VGK and get the ball rolling on these FAs. Jonathan Marchessault's contract is the big talking point heading into the offseason. The impending free agent enjoyed the best statistical season of his career, netting 42 goals last season. An original misfit and Conn Smythe winner. Other impending free agents whose futures are uncertain are Alec Martinez, Chandler Stephenson, Michael Amadio, William Carrier, and Anthony Mantha. I think Stephenson would look good as a Third Line Centerman in the Swords uni. He's got great speed and good at faceoffs too.
