  1. The Ducks were trading their first round picks dependant on whether or not Perry signed with the Sabres or not. So if he doesn't sign with the Sabres, Sabres get Ducks pick. I think two first rounders as that compensation is a bit much, but I don't think that proposal sounds is as crazy as some are making it.
  2. Tallinder has a lower body injury per Sabres twitter
  3. According to Puck Daddy it was audio of Edwards complaining about Roman Hamrlik, and applying it to Shawn Thornton.
  4. Based on age and contract term I don't think Avs would have to add anything to a deal of O'Reilly for Pominville, though I doubt it would be something that would interest them.
  5. It seems like there was a timing issue, probably the Sabres fault. I doubt McCormick went onto the ice to practice knowing he had been waived. He was on the ice when it was first reported on twitter. So word had leaked to twitter before they were able to get to Cody to tell him. Then the Sabres took him off the ice.
  6. First person I saw tweet it was McKenzie, who I assume has many sources. Source got the info to McKenzie, perhaps even before it was completed, and before they told McCormick.
  7. I assume they'll get a 2013 2nd or 3rd for Leopold at the deadline
  8. The bolded is what i'm asking about, the assumed is that an offer sheet would have to be over the $5M limit for the 1st 2nd and 3rd round picks for Colorado not to match. But without an offer sheet I don't think the contract will cost that much and I haven't read anywhere that that's the price range he's asking for.
  9. Is the $5M amount that is being tossed around based on anything other than the assumed amount it would take for an offer sheet? I've read that Colorado offered him what Duchene received, 2 years $3.5M per and that Colorado also allegedly offered him a longer deal for less per year (5 yr 17M). Is it possible he's looking for a long term deal around $4M?
  10. If getting scratched for a game ruins him there wasn't much hope for him to begin with. Especially since it appears its not being done as a punishment, but instead a lineup decision.
  11. He may not be a superstar in the making, but neither are any of the players that are being discussed in a trade for him. He could represent a very good player that plays a style of game that the team is currently missing.
  12. Or take a salary dump coming back, which could then be one of the Sabres buy outs after the season.
  13. If you're the team trading for him I don't think you can feel that way, otherwise you aren't interested in trading for him.
  14. Is this like a spinal tap type thing?
  15. Here's a link to their most recent blurb about it, saying basically the same things from the past few days: http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/buf130214.html
  16. He was only 19 and 20 during those first two seasons.
  17. But don't you think some other team out there would be able to better that? You're not only trying to convince them that taking your package is better than waiting for him to sign, but also there's 28 other teams out there potentially trying to get him.
  18. Tough thing is not only do you have to trade assets for him, but then also sign him based off one season of reliable productivity. Was thinking it'd prob cost something like Ennis & Armia or Pysyk.
  19. Didn't Roy do it on locker clean out day? And was traded shortly after.
