  1. I think the number for Smith is $17M, not $21.6; $3.6M would stay with KC as dead cap due to signing bonus. Slight change, but worth noting. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/alex-smith-3337/
  2. Something my wife and I spent money on at our wedding was a poster sized illustration for guests to sign at the reception, which is now framed and in our attic :)
  3. I think he’s been good all along and had a 4 point game in game 27
  4. Jeff Marek‏Verified account @JeffMarek FollowFollow @JeffMarek More This afternoon we finished up sorting out details on a new podcast we’ll launch in January. It’s a weekly with a heavy lean towards news/opinion and I’m looking forward to getting started. I’ll let my new podcast partner take it from here. @FriedgeHNIC the floor is yours….
  5. Open market may change things, but Stafford is most recent large QB contract, 6 year $135M - avg of $22.5M
  6. No, just a guy: http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-theres-no-mocking-a-man-who-makes-living-off-nfl-2012apr19-story.html I used to frequent this site because it gives comprehensive lists for free agents and the draft.
  7. It was Buddy Nix's last act as GM. Sal C has stated recently that Buddy Nix was determined to provide a QB for the team before he retired and charged his staff with choosing the one they felt was best in that years class. EJ did not work out, but it's worth noting that they did also trade down prior to selecting him and ended up with extra 2nd and 7th round picks.
  8. Technically no, he literally said football players have to be ready for conditions just like military people. I think that's right
  9. I don't think the link correctly reflects the statement he was attempting to make. What he said was clunky and didn't make much sense, but I don't believe his point was to literally say the conditions were ‘no different’ from what the military goes through. Below is the quote from McDermott: “You never know what the conditions are, what you’re going to get, no different than our military people in terms of what they go through. We have to perform just like they do.”
  10. Perhaps they own a large volume of tickets and are trying to get any return they can. If they sell 100 tickets for $4 each that $400 is better than none.
  11. Manziel had two big years, won the Heisman in 2012 and finished 5th in Heisman voting in 2013.
  12. The cream is very limited. That final spot is likely down to Bills-Raiders-Ravens. Bills have one game on the Ravens and two on the Raiders.
  13. I haven't liked a Will Ferrell movie since his cameo in Wedding Crashers.
  14. Watkins plays through it, but valid. I don't follow the Panthers enough to know Benjamin's injury history beyond games missed. It does appear he has a knee injury he's playing through now.
  15. Benj has missed 5 more games than Watkins
  16. the red snapper??? Benjamin Albright
  17. Maybe late, but confirmed, Wysh is going to ESPN which I believe is affiliated with TSN, recorded their last episode yesterday
  18. For the first time since I've had Directv I was able to talk them down on the cost of NHL Center Ice. Cost is $153, they gave me $120 in credits. Total cost is $33 for the season.
  19. The podcast with Marek has been sparse of late. He has a new-ish one with Lozo, called Puck Soup. I'm curious if he ends up with The Athletic.
  20. I liked that movie, maybe I'm the only one? I was truly surprised at the Shyamalan moment.
  21. Agree with your assessment, I stopped following it. Target audience was maybe 8-12 year olds, or their parents who don't have time to really follow the team? Which is fine, but it wasn't informational or entertaining in any way, at least not for me.
