I'm glad that turned out to be BS. Hamilton was crapping on Eichel on the radio yesterday, too, contrasting him with Allen who is just a genuine good guy. I don't know when Hamilton turned heel, but it's evident that he is not the same reporter that he was ten years ago. Eichel spent a LOT of time at Roswell. Not just a drop-in for publicity purposes; he was engaged and involved. There was a big story in TBN on Thursday about it; apparently he kept visiting while injured and right up until he left for Nevada. @LouBrawls He wasn't a leader on the team. And he got cranky toward the end, but I think that's natural in this situation. He's still a decent human being. He still looks like Beavis.

Every 80 old is the same and we should expect them to do the same things.

The vacancy occurred during the Housley-Botterill era, and if you want me to believe that Pegula chooses captains, then show me some hard evidence of that.

It isn't true. It's hyperbole. That crowd went crazy over the Kane Hail Mary, for example, and I'm sure Eichel remembers it. He just was frustrated last night.

You're right. There are two scapegoats. Botterill and Housley. Because if they had just made O'Reilly captain, we wouldn't have had four more years of this stuff. As for Eichel's comments, he's clearly pissed that he lost, which is a good quality in a pro athlete. I don't know whether he was treated poorly by the crowd, but if he was, shame on the crowd. It's not his fault that the parade of GMs and coaches couldn't do a thing right during his seven year time here. I would have wanted out, too. The clap back at the crowd was stupid and petulant and came off as such, but he'll get over it.

This was a good trade. What Adams used the draft pick on last summer might not be great, but looking at the trade itself, it was well done.
