Well we are losing an AHL affiliation but we will still have hockey. In fact I expect the team to remain the Monarchs. We just won't play Worcester every week.

My bet is Portland, ME ends up in Prescott, AZ who lost a CHL team last year. Empty building just waiting for a team just 90 minutes from Glendale.

I was going to say the same. There are way more kids playing hockey these days. Plus improvements in training and conditioning. I bet the talent level between today's NHL and the Original 6 isn't as wide as you'd think.

Just saw Bruins will host Montreal Jan 1 2016 at Gillette Stadium. (Smart move skipping Fenway. I saw a college game there. No one could actually see the game from their seats.) So the Bruins get a second Winter Classic appearance. When do the Sabres get an outdoor game again?

The Sabres are actually 35% ahead of last season's points standing pace. They are on pace for 70 points right now.

I think last night the Sabres discovered an even more incredible level of suckitude. The team was just mailing it in before. Now they are working at being the worst team the NHL has ever seen. Meszaros was a one-man tank battalion.

But don't forget that we acted like being the 8th seed and getting knocked out in the first round was just as bad as this...or at least we thought it was. We were so ready for a the tank. Well we got it. Now live with it because we are going to suck for 1-2 more years.
