He was good. Made all the saves but one. On the other hand the Preds looked slow and weren't playing with much urgency either. We seem to do better against Western conference teams. Maybe they just assume they can win mailing it in.

It will be nice to have a consistent roster play more than 2 games in a row.

I think Kevyn Adams, a gut who's won a cup, would know what kind of goaltending you need. I have to believe he did not want to overpay a free agent, assuming any free agent would have even come here. Anderson might have been the best option he had, other than Ullmark maybe.

So you're answer is "there must be somebody." Got it. Who's to say anyone he might have signed would be injured now? Maybe he could have signed 6 goaltenders just in case? All blue-chippers.

The Sabres actually possessed the puck more in the first but I think the Lightning were just warming up. It's not like the Sabres were going to do anything dangerous.

So this is you sticking it back to those who celebrated what success we had? Why not? They had it coming, right? How dare they enjoy this team! It's also so very easy to say something else could have been done. How can we prove you wrong? The road not taken is always the path to glory. If I didn't know better I could say that some people...some...revel in the failure of the Sabres. But certainly no one I can think of.

You say that as if we had our choice of superstars to add. The roster is who we have and who we drafted and traded for.

The Sabres are easily the team least able to deal with disruption. They are building from rock bottom. Every time they start to find a rhythm, someone is injured or put on COVID protocol. That is not the same thing as a deep rostered playoff contender losing a couple of third or fourth-line grunts. So to use a blanket statement like you are is disingenuous.

While the bolded is true, unless you look at each team to see just what they lost and were dealing with, it's meaningless to use it as a blanket dismissal.

Nice to get closer but this was a game you had to win. Tired team, snakebit on the road, and you couldn't beat them. Sad.
