  1. I renewed last year so I still have enough to cover this year on credit.
  2. If the Sabres make the playoffs this year, maybe. A lot depends on how much Jack likes playing for Granato.
  3. If the Sabres make the playoffs under Adams, that will negate whatever people think about an Eichel trade... assuming Eichel doesn't win a cup and earn playoff MVP.
  4. A lot of assumptions being made about how Jack will behave. If Eichel feels his career is going down the drain with the Sabres he can make things very ugly. Meanwhile you have a young team and new coach trying to revive the franchise with your star player hanging over like a stale fart in the room. I don't envy Adams' position because he will be ridiculed even if he makes the best possible decision. You are risking a lot waiting too long on Eichel.
  5. You're essentially saying what I said. If they decide to trade him after July 2022, their options will be dictated by Jack.
  6. Because if he demands a trade after his NMC kicks in, it's Taylor Hall all over again. If you think the Sabres will get jobbed in an Eichel trade now, wait till his NMC kicks in. Are you willing to bet on Eichel having a change of heart to risk hanging on to him and losing what leverage you have to make a deal now?
  7. It all sounds the same when you aren't listening.
  8. We'll if he stayed and the Granato Sabres were suddenly competitive maybe he would decide to stay. But right now he wants out. Even if we start trending up Jack probably feels his career clock ticking and would rather play for a current contender.
  9. I'm not blaming Jack. I'm just saying because of his life experience, he's not the type that can deal with bad situations.
  10. Allen flashed his potential plenty in 2018. It was pretty obvious he was something special.
  11. Well he is now. Was he surrounded with elite talent on the Bills in 2018? At Wyoming? Junior college? My point is one player had to fight for his place. The other was always 'the guy.' It doesn't make Jack a bad person. But, to me, it explains his reaction when things don't go as expected.
  12. I made a comparison between Jack Eichel and Josh Allen on Twitter. Jack was the anointed golden boy since youth hockey. Josh Allen was pretty much told he wasn't good enough at every level. One guy fast-tracked through the best programs. The other had to lobby for every chance he got, mostly facing rejection. Which guy is more likely to overcome adversity?
  13. It's not really happening. All I'm saying everything has a price. If the Bruins want hometown boy that bad, make the right offer.
  14. Put together the right package and Kev can make your dreams come true.
  15. I really expected Okposo to have a big role with the Sabres youth, so I'm surprised there's talk of moving him. No takers for Skinner?
  16. When you're so far to the right you're falling off the grid, everything looks left.
  17. FYI, since we are talking about former players in new jobs, Danny Briere is the GM of the ECHL Maine Mariners, a Bruins affiliate.
  18. Best player available or reach for need?
  19. When I was a dumb kid growing up on the east side, we used to set off M80s for yucks. Looking back I'm lucky I don't lose a limb. Now I live in NH where fireworks are legal (Live Free or/and Die!) We have a superstore in our town. Every year the neighbors chip in for a private show on our cul de sac. Kids running around. Not the smartest move. Lucky this weekend was a monsoon so no boom boom.
