Glad too see the win, hope Mules injury is short term just a bad scare... Sabres can ill afford to lose his toughness on D and leadership. Agreed Sabres are a growing team... nice to see a good start to the season but consistency is important... give things for DM to work on.

As long as he keep high shots out or other teams figure out that high shots are his weakness... He hasnt shown it as a problem but it is the only thing I could think teams might try and target.

Little nervy after Cal 3rd goal... but Sabres stuck to their style and didnt get into an overly physical battle outskating Calgary.... Z is a dumb meathead. Showed how slow he is.... Also Tuch with a hattie was nice.

Thing I like about JJ is he has all that skill and has size to absorb a hit... what has impressed me a lot is his play in the corners using his body to control pucks.

Faceoffs and still passing are off but hustle and great D and goaltending... Hope Bousch is ok gonna need him against Calgary. Motrin and ice lots of it.

Couple guys looked like they were skating in sand... Quinn looked lost... Andy was great Lubushkin (sp) has a nasty streak... Sabres cleared the puck pretty well in front of the net not a lot of 2nd chances. Good win..

Ottawa a bit better, Sabres didnt give up too many chances... but I didnt see it as lopsided as some... Sabres just looked a bit disjointed especially on O. Forecheck for Sabres except for a few moments was non existent. But their controlled exits looked good.
