    It is the beginning of Lent and ends with Easter so its actually 40 days. Judaism and Islam more efficient in that regard

    I don't practice much formal observance any more but seems to me ash wednesday is that day

    Key will be do some long walks to build back stamina and lots of fluids... it helps you rebound faster from my experience.
