  1. Julien would be my choice too given the direction of Sabres build, but Blysma might field a better skating styled team. Claude, the name though says it all, not a great p.r. move, but if the Sabres win the cup... I'll bandwagon him.
  2. NS, I agree with your misgivings about management mostly because I am impatient due in part having endured DR and I believe his inability to fing offense especially at the center position. Which disappointedly made the tank a neccessity. Murray imo is learning on the job and like this team will continue to have growing pains to my chagrin. He and the young players on this though talented team will still stub their toes occasionally and unlike some of the sky is always blue on this board, I will continue to critique this missteps. Its the 'merican way. I admire both your steadfast loyalty to the Sabres and understanding of the game. Patience is not one my strong suits. I was brought up to ID a problem and figure out a sucessful way to fix it now, not tommorrow. So to all those who like you who understand the game and cheer but can see how they can improve and have an opinion about it cheers, ????
  3. Anyone for going after Jim Schoenfeld? Interim Ranger asst coach and or Scott Arniel Ranger Associate coach?
  4. Yes, but until then i am sure there plenty of are creative irritants that can occur. Sophmoric sure, I am thinking a long lines of Animal House...
  5. True but, using "being played" as motivation or revenge is often part of business too. It will be interesting to see what TPegs might have in store for the leaves because of this perceived slight. Revenge and gotcha is certainly part of politics...
  6. Rink size is an interesting idea but probably a long term solution say 20 plus years as arenas are upgraded. Not sure net size is bad but it doesnt meet the eye test of tradition, pad size and better enforcing of obstruction type penalties are critical.
  7. Don't think he is worth those two D Still, I have to agree with Sabresmith, now if you said it was for one of the young Edmonton guns I might consider, but O'Reilly while a nice piece is not what the Sabres have spent all this time building D for a third line center and now with up and coming centers in hand, Sabres now need scorers imo. Hoping for one of the draft choices coming thru or sabres need to move up in the draft
  8. Agree if you can afford the Bay area it is amazing and Rte 1 down to St. louis Obispo is special. My wife won't let me drive because of the views, afraid I'll get distracted and Drive off a cliff.
  9. King Henry is just gettin in his groove, as long as Strangers D is healthy... That team is gonna be tough... I say Hawks over Rangers in 6
  10. or it could work the other way, Dad passing lifts the guilt and need to stay in Detroit.?
  11. mozzeralla, parmesan are musts, american is a no no, cheddar is just weird, provolone is passeble but iffy
  12. Never had Montreal smoked meat, but nyc pastrami is something else.
  13. Deep fryers are great, but a cast iron soup put can do the trick too or a chinese wok. or a slice.
  14. stone.... rock.... Stone.... rock Seriously, not only is chunky blue awesome, I need a slice of the most ripe version with a good steak for contast... Ground horseradish with weck is awesome especially on a cold evening. Hot Wings and Horseradish help kill what ails you and makes your sinuses soupy.
  15. Eichel already with and assist agfainst Slovakia in the first setting up Seth Jones on the doorstep on a cross ice through traffic in front of net during PP. Boy has nice vision and good passing instincts. US up 2-0.
  16. Ah Datsyuk still top 10 now, but God as best 2 way player over Toews if comparing
  17. O 1. Datsyuk 2. Ovie 3. Stamkos 4. Toews 5. P. Kane 6. Zetterberg 7. Getzlaf 8. Benn 9. Bergeron D 1. S. Weber 2. Subban 3. McDonough 4. Seabrook 5. Keith 6. Hedman Goalie 1. Lundquist 2. Price If I had to pick...
  18. That's gonna suck cause our current systems slow down yet I usually am working at that time. I am counting on it... Adds new meaning to the term Zombie Apocalypse :(
  19. Not sure its a bad problem to have to choose between these two over other options, though as a Bench coach I prefer Babcock.
  20. I like keeping Strachan as a call up or 6/7 D. the guy is a bigger Mike Weber and at times has shown ability to skate, just very inconsistent. I think he is learning from guys like Risto and Z how to be a big skating D, almost like no one ever told him he could do it and now he is finding out skating with speed is possible. His size and physicality is his strength so I keep him and Weber as enforcers and see who plays better next year.
