Until either or both goaltenders can do better in shoutouts.... Sabres are going to have to work harder to end it in OT... which is why secondary scoring needs to improve... or not as there is one possibility... a slow tank and the shoutout deal is to ensure that the Sabres in fact do tank... Just saying... I put my tinfoil hat on tonight... and am sitting in a lead lined room.

A local kid who scored winning or tying goal for michigan state frozen 4 and assisted on the other. Sabres drafted, played ok but tried to leverage too much and was let go. Good kid, but borderline NHLer especially because of small size.

I think he makes a very good play making winger and high end secondary scorer with Jack. Still learning physical side and jack needs a scoring winger on the other side a la Nylander or Pu or high end draft pick.

Been watching him lately and he is finally starting to hit and play better in the corners. A work in progress but he is being more physical. Once he gets that down and finds a way to encorporate it into his passing game, I think hell be fine. I think he just needs to work thru it. Its coming be patient.

4.5 thoughts about game: -Sabres not great on back to backs in 1 st period but get better seems to be a theme. -Carolina ice sucked, especially evident during shootout. Carolina fire pucks unprepared Sabres fumble finess moves. -Apparently Carolina doesnt freeze pucks before use, holy bouncing rubber batman. -Glad they picked up a point, but god Gorges cant outlet pass... send him down and get Falk and Fedun in. Franson ok but needs someone along side who doesnt just give the puck away.

. I hate responding to you in a GD thread. Because arrogantly the one thread dedicated to it was arbitrary and capriciously closed... so an occassional referrence to it seems reasonable. The more totalitarian this place gets to prevent such said discussion is gonna drive folks away. And the one in TBD is idiotic most of the time. Yes folks got a little heated here towards the end of the election. An announced week or two break makes sense, but a "till further notice"marks of communistic authoritarian arrogance and I am sad to see this game time discussion devolve into something it shouldnt be because of said board arrogance.
