  8. Bad News Bears anyone... still have a crush on Tatum O'Neil.
  9. Hard too, because that storm was eight feet of wet snow... and this one, '77, was more wide spread... lasted 5 days and dumped 12-21 feet on people. But a large amount of that total was blown in from the loose stuff on the lake. So the actual amount that it snowed was a lot less, but as the article described 60 plus inches falling on the the lake in December and another 60 plus in early January plus the actual amount from that storm made the amount dumped on the area much worse and wide spread.... Plus the winds were nuts and it was very cold... People lost power in it... Across the street had non, folks moved in with xcross street neighbors. We had a family with us.
  10. Got my first paper route the day the thing hit, was twelve, The Buffalo Evening News at the time was suspended for the next two days. Lived in North Buffalo near the zoo and St. Marks. Dug snow tunnels we coulds stand up in and helped my Dad shovel both driveway and the street as we didnt expect the plow anytime soon. Was off from school for two weeks and remember not being allowed to drive on the roads so we walked to the Tops Market. Saw a police car with just the side cleaned off... no depth... like it was painted on the snow bank... also saw that steam engine on rubber wheels thing rolling down Amherst street... Heard they had to send it back to Toronto for repairs.... from too much use... Huge snow hills in Delaware Park they used to dump the snow on, that didnt fully melt till June with a lot of trash left over. Oh also you could walk out my second floor window on to the porch roof and then on to the snow bank.... As a twelve year old it was epic!
  11. Or at the very least, better in certain areas now that many of the injuries have been resolved. Goaltending was not suppose to be the issue it is and scoring should be better now that Jack is back and so is OReilly. Enis return should help some, but under performers including non of the kids a la fasching, nylander, Bailey or Baptiste making significant contributions on O this year has been a disappointment. Not saying all had to but at least one could have. Carrier may finally be finding his touch but even he has been slower in development than hoped for.
  12. Reasonable question... to me it depends on how many guys in development take the next step forward by the end of the year... Nylander, Pu on O and Guhle and say Borgen on D and if Lehner can be fixed and show promise.
  13. Depends on Jack's attitude. Right now maybe 4-6 more points, but that is a big if...
  14. Just because you coolaid GMTM drinkers are defensive and cant take a little complaint thursdays on Lehner. . Agreed and hopefully TM can find a goalie whisperer. Again Lehner reminds me a lot of the Tampa goalie before he found his game and had a great run. Hopefully he can find that space.
  15. Sigh, when you are right, you are right. That being said... i dont mind it for one more season and its needed for both a high end scorer and or high end D. After the end of this one Sabres need to bring in an offensive coach.
  16. Flu season is upon us. Two bugs out there. Stomach one and the other more sore throat achey and sinus. The later causing lots of Pneumonia. Our ER is loaded with coughing and puking sick people. Fun for all hope they get better.
  17. But But it was a Thursday... whhhyyyyyy????
  18. until he is off the team it is fair fodder and a number one goaltender is found. ps it is still thursday.
  19. Lehner is not a starter, so your advocating having a starter like half of our D Bad trade of a pick.
  20. If top three draft a scorer or trade pick for a stud D. Either though stud D greater need with Nylander and Pu in the system and possible later round possibilities coming up on O. Though if #1 Nolan foget about it. Trade Bogo, Kane and Kuli for a stud D and retain salary.
  21. So just one more year of tank? Im guessing two, but it depends... if Sabres receive a top 3... or draft a top scorer and sign/ trade for a top 4 D or vice versa. Someone who can skate next year... Combine that with Nylander and another young D stepping up, would be probably end the tank after this year. Short of that it could take another year in the bottom.
  22. NHL version: https://www.nhl.com/news/2017-nhl-draft-nolan-patrick-tops-midterm-rankings/c-285771514?tid=277729156
