Or is all rumor and innuendo from other teams... fake news.
-
Jeez i am 6'2" 196, would fit right in with that group... not! only wish... sigh...

So as the Sabres look for mobile defensemen... Ivan Chukarov at UMass comes to mind to keep an eye on. Smooth skater with a heckuv of a point shot. Good passer, but was asked to be a shut down guy this year. As talent at UMass picks up, Ill be interested in seeing if he takes the next step as a junior in the always tough Hockey East

Okposo Hospitalized - Update: Reportedly Doing "Much Better"
North Buffalo replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
I assume you are talking typical VIP porotocol, not actual care of KO. Makes sense. -
Glass is Back! and he has a lot more free time...
North Buffalo replied to LastPommerFan's topic in The Aud Club
Glass welcome back, been there done that... keep your head up and dont isolate. I switched careers twice, ego takes a blow but i found my spot. Not sure how old you are but i went back to school at 48 and it is keeping me young. All my best. PS put a profile up on Linkedin and indeed.com as you go through this process and do something good for you each day to keep your spirits up. All my best. -
Hey thinking the same thing, lack of speculative b.s., was getting boring. [quote name="Sakman" post="952422" timestamp="1496691796" The Ovechkin thing isn't going to happen (I mean, he isn't going to get traded at all, let alone to Buffalo). I just posted it as it's fun to talk about in the off-season prior to actual transactions occurring, hopefully soon. My reason for supporting such a theoretical trade was captured in several of the posts above in that: a) It's not a 'trade away current assets for future assets' deal that we've had enough of ... b) Aren't giving away any really high end young assets (Risto or even McCabe, Sam, Nylander, #1 pick this year, etc) c) I think getting Ovechkin in his early-mid 30's is an significant upgrade. vs. Kane with an extension (assuming he would re-sign) in any set of consecutive year's in Kane's career. The whole 'getting into his 30's, waiting for the performance drop-off' thing is very true for 95%+ of players in the NHL. Ovechkin is not one of those players however. He's really like Jagr, Hossa, Thornton, or Iginla (to give recent examples) except that he is actually better than any of them. The only thing I'd take out of this in the real world is if the Sabres could make a 'hockey trade' for Kane (as opposed to selling him off) that they get more value back in terms of on ice contribution in the next few years than they think they'll get with Kane even with an extension, then why not do so?

Probably easier to do something straight up. Too complicated any other way and would use up too many chits for 11th overall assuming Kings would even give that up given their cap constraints.
-
I have read both arguments for and against and do think that Kane is a risk with a long term contract and his behavioral past. That being said, I loved his scoring and hard play in the corners last year. I wish one of the young guys could step up in scoring, while also showing a little more vision on ice. Then trading Kane would be a little more palatable. Till the uncertainty on wing gets resolved and Molson, Ennis and even Okposo medical issue gets figured out, I'm thinking the Sabres keep him. Only if the return makes sense a la a D and a high draft pick say next yea then my mind could change. Feel like a see saw going back and forth on this one....

Just saw this defenseman on hockey rumors, assume there are other Sabres might take a stab at. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2017/06/league-interest-raddysh.html Discuss and list links or opinions.

Expansion Draft -- Sabres moves and speculation
North Buffalo replied to SabresBaltimore's topic in The Aud Club
Interesting article by Stan Fischler on who may become available from the the Rangers, Islanders and Devils. Any interest in any of these players in a trade? http://www.msgnetworks.com/2017/05/25/protect-or-not-rangers-isles-devils-the-upcoming-draft/ -
I thought it might be good, but not for offsides.

i might have, at least some i forget, need to take more pics

Yes there seems to be a fair amount of nepotism in the NHL. But talent prevail. Need to have good skating ability not insane (with one caveat you need to have quick balance) ability to pivot well like a cornerback in football, great if you are a D. More than anything though you need two very important skills... vision like that in soccer or as an NFL qurterback, be able to read what is and is going to happen and then you need insane hand eye coordination like that in baseball or as a point guard in basketball. The best ones have it in spades. Gretsky and Crosby have it, Datysuk had it and P Kane, Matthews and Eichel have it,.. Lately it Ivenoticed a lot of skilled D have it and PS Housley had it.

wow awesome

True, and when I was using it regularly I had it refurbished twice. Its a beast, I have close to 12 terabyte of pics with it from all weddings and sporting events. Here is a link to some of my event photos taken with it: https://fischerwilliamsphoto.smugmug.com/Sports/Sports-Portfolio-Alex-Fischer/

Agreed I like them too, Dominican from what I remember.

I have a Mark II 1Ds, the original full frame, But mostly time stops me. I still shoot, only x-rays and CT pics, just not pretty stuff. Mostly I look for broken or bleeding things... Seriously, though time... I need to start carrying it with me more often... Maybe for hockey. Also if your looking for action, think about a GoPro. You can use it underwater.
-
I need to start shooting again. If you have the cash purchase a Mark II 1DX, or the 5DS R 5fps and decent ISO Range, or the 5D Mark IV, 7 FPS. but teh Mark II 1DX can shoot up to 51000 ISO without a flash and 14 FPS if you have $6000 laying around. Canon
