Again probably back to the Chris Taylor discussion, but I get the sense Housley’s patience is wearing thin... He was an arrogant sob as a player but loves to coach up self motivated talent. Itll work once Sabres accumulate enough talent. I still think Id like to see that team better than a Torts team so Im willing to to be patient. Besides I dont want to see Sam cry..

Kinda like the quiet kid who starts all the trouble but it takes a while for the teacher to figure out who is really pulling the strings or instigating the bad behavior.

Saw the play and replay, yes Kane should have cleared but it was a good keep in. Both Erod and especially Sam were both there but stopped skating and didnt pick up the open guy. Sam went the wrong way to where other guy who was covered by D and Erod coasted may have been outta gas. Sam needed to make that play... effort issue imo.

I saw him make a few good hits last night, but then on the next shift he oleys a guy or doesnt finish his check. Dude needs some nasty, again gotta piss him off somehow so he plays with some consistent fire all game.

First period wasn't bad, but after the 2nd philly goal in the second they locked it down. Sabres had a few close calls later on that could easily have gone including Scandella point blank, but puck luck was not with the Sabres and Philly played solid lock down D. 2nd Philly goal had EROD and Sam not covering the open guy... How do you brain fart like that, lift the guys stick at least... hit him... something... Sam too often doesn't finish his checks. It is not a game of Shinny... Sam needs to learn to play nasty... way too affable.

My only concern is does the regional coverage get effected... sounds like not but with these mega deals who know long term just not sure of business structure of the deal and opinions are all over the map on this one.

So its its being reported that Disney is taking over Fox Sports and on twitter lots of concern of the effect on Fox’s regional hockey coverage given ESPN’s history of dumping hockey coverage. Any insite or comments to discuss..

Maybe, still think the Sabres are missing guys up front that can take it to another team. Housley’s system is the same as Nashville’s so you may be right... Sam is not a great skater, neither is Larrson or Gigenson though they have moxie and OK is coming along but still think last year took a lot out of his physical confidence... it took a huge hit... the last couple games may just be what he needs... The D needs one more talented skater and I think it comes together... but I want young hungry talent coming in from any trades not older talented guys on their way down. Weve seen how well that work... oh plus a above average goalie.

We are also seeing slowly mind you better effort and positional play defensively... still need to clear some dead wood ( Girgenson and Larrson among others) and yes increase talent on the top lines... They need scorers. Talent on D is coming along. I do think they are being coached better and you are seeing it, though still a lot of mechanical play, but they are playing better.

If they can find a goalie wisperer to correct his flaws great. If not let him go.

Scored two goals the other nite in beer league, shoildve had 3 but pulled a Don Luce on a breakaway after faking out the goaltender shot it it barely high and wide... Still Jameson won 5-1 after a 0-0 first period.

True but we all said the same thing about Vanek after losing Drury and Briere and could have had a bunch of no 1s. So in this case I think demanding keeping or trading should be left up to JBots and lets see what he can do either way.
