Honestly, if he was a long term double agent for the Canes it would make more sense than anything anyone has told me to date. He’s not a great double agent as he’s done a couple good things but by and large all of his moves have been garbage.

As WR4/5, I think he has enough of “it” to pass muster.

But you can’t lead the “offseason of change” with a guy who never bothered to show up to the Sabres and most of the fans despise.

I’m very discouraged at the thought of all of Adam’s moves may have ulterior motives regarding finances. Many have intimated that hockey ops has no cash flow and they operate like destitute hobos, now I’m starting to wonder myself. The kicker would be hearing Staal was brought in with no salary. I’ll just stop paying attention all together.

I was kinda hoping KA would luck his way into success somehow as Terry absolutely refuses to make the necessary changes within the org but hiring his drinking buddy from his playing days seems to indicate we are still on the downward trajectory. I thought 13 games was rock bottom but clearly we are headed for a time period where we are all going to want the team to just go away. I’m not sure if a worse hire could have been made. Just no pulse on the fans, the community or the organization’s needs. I want to vomit.

The premise is fine, it’s been the post trade execution that has been the issue. Honestly, they should have played him with Dahlin all season and traded him for a coveted asset. Instead they sunk his value giving teams clear visibility to his ineptitude away from a great partner.

I don’t think we really have a choice. If they want to package Byram, Quinn and 9 OA for an actual top line player. Make it happen. The Cozens trade happened. We got better just by removing him from the team. The same could happen with that potential trade as well.

I thought Hull was an ass hat before, during and after no goal. The person who fans should really be mad at is Bettman. Again with people assigning blame to the wrong person. It’s an epidemic. Don’t hate the playa, hate the game. The league had egg on its face and never owned up to it. Instead fans seek out a different villain, one with a more identifiable face, Brett Hull.

So shouldn’t the fans be more upset with the Sabres and their lack of actual NHL defensive depth? Why focus your anger on the beneficiaries? They didn’t do anything wrong. They did what the Sabres couldn’t. It’s a weird generational thing. Assigning blame to where it doesn’t belong.

He never bothered to show up for an entire season in Buffalo. Feels like that should have been enough to eliminate him as a candidate.

That probably is an asset to most fans

Carolina doesn’t even make my top 10 most hated teams in the league. I’ve never really understood the disdain for the team. They beat the Sabres in the playoffs. Whoop Dee damn doo. So have a dozen other teams. It’s weird and I feel like it’s only a certain generation of fans that feel this way.

Was Milan Lucic not available? How can this be real life? In the drought era, how many bigger villains are there than Eric Stahl? Lucic, Eichel, he’s not too far down the list. Can they bring in Jon Bon Jovi as a business consultant? What are we even doing here.
