Sorry dude. The team sucks, the gm sucks, the coach sucks. One undersized “generational” player or whatever people are calling him isn’t going to make the difference. I’m tired of hype on prospects. Did we not learn our lesson from Eichel? Having twenty 5’ 10” 175 lbs (including half their D) skill guys isn’t working.

Vanek may have been 6’2 200 lbs but no one was ever intimidated by him.

Yeah I don’t care how good Bedard is, the Sabres are chock full of smallish skill players on the team (Skinner, Olofsson, Quinn, Krebs, Peterka, Hiney) with many more in the pipeline (Ostland, Savoie, Weissbach, Rosen, Kisakov). They need players that aren’t just good shooters or fast skaters. They need guys that are hard to play against not just dudes who float on the perimeter looking for an easy opportunity. I’m not calling for 4 lines of pluggers, just anyone that I’d hate if they played against the Sabres. This goes for the D as well. Pilut, Bryson, Fitzgerald are either too small, too weak or not good. No reinforcements in Rochester or elsewhere.

It’s like we are in a race to see who can hop off the bandwagon fastest. I’m still on it but I’m standing getting ready to pounce.

I couldn’t do TWD after the whisperers were introduced. Stupid concept, hated the actress playing alpha, not anything interesting happening. They essentially made blood thirsty inescapable zombies just background noise and turned it into a soap opera. They throw in a gruesome zombie death every episode to titillate the fans of the genre but it always seems forced.

I’m getting to the point of indifference. Thinking about buying a gaming console (as I’ve been using my sons when he’s asleep) to completely remove sports from my life. The Bills suck dick, the Sabres are a tire fire and the Orange can’t beat a team named after toothpaste.

I’ve been saying it since before his first call up. Bryson is not an NHL D. He’s tiny and does very little to compensate for that fact. Also see Fitzgerald and Pilut.

Would it kill someone to put a link to the stats rather than me having to take someone’s word for it.

If they don’t start winning games, all the good will they banked at the end of last season and the beginning of this season will erode and they’ll be back to playing in an empty building.

Improving every game. Could be a late season call up.

Weissbach is more of what they have except he doesn’t have the shot of Quinn or Olofsson nor the playmaking of Krebs or Peterka. And he’s smaller than all of them. Rousek, OTOH, will get his chance. He’s looked good. Has size, plays intensely and has as much skill as Weissbach.

This is exactly what I was expecting Bjork has stood out more (albeit he’s played more games) but he’s definitely looked better between the two.
