Yeah I feel like the board consensus at the end of last season was that Dahlin was a high risk high reward player with the upside that he may soon become a stalwart in his own zone as well.
To be fair, giving a guy $30 mill without having scored a goal or playing a full season is a little nuts. Love the player, don’t hate the contract but it’s somewhat unprecedented.
Pilut is in Rochester because he’s waived eligible (somehow). Kinda surprised Lybushkin (sp?) isn’t in the top 4 D. I don’t like Joki there. He’s average at best. Bryson, uh, isn’t.
I watched him play almost every game last season. He had highlights but Quinn drove play significantly more when on the ice. Victor Olofsson was more like Quinn. Tage Thompson was more like Quinn. Peterka just didn’t pop like those guys in the A. More Mittlestadt than Thompson.
The train horn is old guy repellent. I’m running for the hills when I hear that damn thing. I’ve muted my television when I hear it. Some fans claim to enjoy it. Like I said, maybe it’s an age thing.
