  1. If anyone thinks flat tax, adviser to a candidate published in the Post or not, means everyone pays the same rate, they're living in a cave. Have I not explained myself clearly enough? Flat tax does not, don't, ain't, won't, can't mean same flat rate for all. Those ... Earning .... More .... Would .... Pay .... A ... Flat .... RATE .... Greater .... Than .... The ....Flat .... RATE .... Those .... Earning .... Less .... Would .... Pay ... This ..... Is .... The .... Definition ..... Of .... A ..... Progressive ..... Income ..... Tax ..... Code ..... He's a Biden Economic adviser. I forgive his lack of understanding. PS ... How do you feel about state run regressive lotteries?
  2. Kids loved the panny ... But they roll their eyes at a dad who's "on a mission" to make them correctly .... Lingonberry's delicious ... The penny is, too .... Fun! Wheat flour. Nothing special, not self rising. I cut back, this batch, and got more fluff. I had to do my hockey tape delay, today. USA - Czech and Canada - Finland were awesome. Canada - Finland one of those "one for the ages" you get every year, here. Sweden looks great. I am enjoying the US, too. Condolences to Canada. Virtanen will feel it .... He's carried a lot on his shoulders.
  3. And Russia comes back! What a great morning .... kids are still home for the Holidays, WJC IIHF ... and MODOcakes. Danes should be very proud. And, to off to Sweden, up 2-0 on Slovakia ... I shall cheer for SWE, of course!
  4. OT! Russia with 45 seconds left. Butterflying half whiff ....
  5. Tied at two, and then 3-2 Danes. Exciting third period ....
  6. I see Switzerland won game one of the relegation series, out shooting them 2-1. Belarus has never beaten Switzerland at the WJC. I do not know when the elevated team is determined. Germany? Teemu Selanne honored in Helsinki .... http://www.worldjunior2016.com/en/news/fond-farewell-for-teemu/
  7. The flat tax doesn't benefit the rich. I'm not sure how you and I miss that one, but we do. You're important; I keep replying. UNless the devil face is you pulling my leg! In which case, I am hooked, lined and sinkered! Every person played a role ... I agree ...they're all job creators. I am, too. There is no magic wand. I hump it, absent any flash of brilliance.
  8. This is a universally cool page. I dug the Les Habitants today ... most vigorously.
  9. After we went back and forth a few times, I understood your point. I never closed our loop ... sorry about that. At first, I didn't understand what you were saying, but your idea is exactly correct in my mind. My language could be better. The demand ONLY comes from the consumer, of course. My "job creation" attribution for Steve Jobs wasn't meant to mean he "created the demand", but that he created the product that came to be demanded. I'll go so far as to say he envisioned it. He COULD HAVE been wrong, to your point. I do call that job creation ..... kinda subtle, kinda important .... kinda saying the same thing with different emphasis? I cannot put some legos, string, wire and marbles together in my garage and "create" your demand for it. If you do, though, demand it, I will take credit for creating the jobs .... Close to the same page? Thank you for following up on a ball I dropped. Well, not exactly .... I think we're mixing more than one concept. In my limited memory ... his most human moments ... To my Dem friends ... is he REALLY cooler than Bill Clinton? I thought Bill was pretty cool.
  10. BagBoy visits Fox, pass it on ....
  11. I am delegating all of my pro flat tax writing to you and Boyes. Progressive and all income treated the same, yes sir. Fair share and the wealthier pay more, yes sir. The real crux of the matter (Mr. Swamp and Mr. D4rk) is tax code as fairness/policy, not simply revenue collection. Today we collect and enact policy with code. What makes today's code unwieldy and unknowable are its policy provisions that reward certain activities at the expense of others. I get it. I have to be careful, autocorrect tries to replace D4rk with "Dork".

    Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, SabreSpacers ... Here's to health and prosperity, however you define it. I'm grateful for what you all gave me in 2015 and look forward to our chats, our city and our team in 2016.

  14. A better crusade - everyone vote! What I'd really like to talk about, because I think it's critical and under discussed, is energy policy. I'd have to listen; I'm not knowledgeable at all. I'd have my free market bias, but I'd love to listen. I am pro drill, baby, drill while the R&D guys discover the 21st century. Drill, independence, and the resulting foreign policy flexibility as an exporter not needing to engage the Middle East with any energy related agenda ... NeoPhyte
  15. TOO! Not TO! Do I avoid the wrath by self correcting? Eleven's other thread post has me proofing 7 years worth of my posts.
  16. shait! holy h3LL you gotta cover Ovi. come on boys we can do it!
  17. Yes, but the primary purpose of the 2nd Amendment is .... oops, nevermind.
  18. Perfect ...
  19. The interweb's favorite:
  20. I want this team in the playoffs .... There, I said it.
  21. Squared .... that's it. That's what my eyes see. That's composed and confident.
  22. I'm following you. Power will always have to be checked. A simple system may, again, de-volve into an unfair nightmare. I'll still take the start over and the fighting chance. A flat system does not do away with the need to be vigilant.
  23. Do you see it, too? Am I observing something?
  24. I'm still getting used to your avatar. I googled. I'm more informed and less scared.
